Download/Install BlackBerry® Desktop Manager - Windows®


  • If upgrading BlackBerry Desktop Manager, it is recommended to uninstall the previous version before proceeding. Refer to Perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software for assistance.
  • The application depicted in the following images is only an example.
  • Administrator privileges may be required in order to install / uninstall. Contact the local IT Administrator for assistance.
  • To access, sync and organize content with BlackBerry PlayBook tablets and BlackBerry 10 smartphones, BlackBerry Link must be installed.


  1. Close all open apps.
  2. Launch an Internet browser then navigate to the BlackBerry Desktop software download page.
  3. Select the appropriate product from the dropdown menu then click Next.
  4. Select the appropriate BlackBerry software version then click Download.
  5. Ensure the required information is entered then click Yes to confirm the accuracy.
  6. To receive information regarding BlackBerry products and/or services, select an option.
    • Yes
    • No
  7. To sign up for the BlackBerry connection newsletter, select an option.
    • Yes
    • No
  8. Select Next.
  9. Review the License Agreement then select Agree, then click Next to continue with setup.
  10. Click Download.
  11. Select a location (e.g. Desktop) then click Save.
    The filename may differ depending upon software version.
  12. Locate then double-click the downloaded file.
    If prompted, click Continue.
  13. Ensure the appropriate language is selected then click OK.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Ensure the appropriate country or region is selected then click Next.
  16. Review the License Agreement. To continue the installation, ensure I accept the terms in the license agreement is selected then click Next.
  17. Click Next.
  18. Click Next.
  19. Click Finish.
