Performing Over-The-Air Activation - VZAccess Manager

Note To activate or update a device it must be located within the Verizon Wireless network. Refer to the Coverage Locator for additional assistance.

Note If unable to select Activation, attempt to detect the device first. Refer to one of the following articles for assistance:

  1. Ensure the device is inserted/connected to the computer.
    Note If using a notebook with an embedded module ensure the wireless radio is powered on.
    Note If using the Verizon Wireless Fivespot AC30, ensure the device is in tethered mode.
  2. Launch VZAccess Manager.
    Note From the Windows desktop navigate: Start > Programs (All Programs) > VZAccess Manager
    Note From the Macintosh desktop navigate: Finder > Applications > VZAccess Manager
    Note From the Linux desktop navigate: Applications > Internet > VZAccess Manager
  3. From the VZAccess Manager top menu, navigate Options > Activation.
    Note For Macintosh: from the Menu Bar, navigate Options > Activation.
    Note Activation is not available for 4G LTE devices.

  4. Select OK.
    Activation successful
