Uninstalling/Reinstalling VZAccess® Manager - Windows®

This often helps if you're having issues connecting your Internet-capable device to your computer or access is denied due to an invalid user name/password. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren't currently using the tool.

  1. Ensure the wireless device is disconnected from the computer.
  2. Launch Uninstall a program:
    • Windows 8
      1. From any screen, press the Windows key + X ( Windows key icon+X ).
      2. Click Control Panel.
      3. Click Uninstall a program.
    • Windows 7/Vista
      1. From the Windows desktop, click Start.
      2. Click Control Panel.
      3. Click Uninstall a program.
    • Windows XP
      1. From the Windows desktop, click Start.
      2. Click (Settings) Control Panel.
      3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Ensure VZAccess Manager is selected then click (Change/Remove) Uninstall/Change.

  4. If presented with Are you sure you want to uninstall VZAccess Manager, click Yes.
  5. If presented with Select Uninstall Method screen, ensure Automatic is selected then click Next.

  6. Click Finish.

  7. Repeat step 3 to uninstall the device drivers.
    Note Device drivers may vary depending upon the device installed, (e.g. SAMSUNG Mobile USB DRIVER, Mobile Broadband Generic Drivers, PANTECH PC USB Modem Software, etc.).
  8. Restart the computer.
    Note Refer to Restarting the operating system for additional assistance.
  9. Reinstall VZAccess Manager via the appropriate method.
    Note Ensure the latest supported version for the device and operating system is being installed.
