Enable/Disable Call Forwarding

This may correct issues with receiving calls. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren't currently using the tool.

Note Notes:
  • Using a * (star) code feature from the device can't be guaranteed outside the home market of the device.
  • Call Forwarding setting is lost upon Advanced Calling 1.0 provisioning and must be reset after Advanced Calling 1.0 software update install.

 

Enable Call Forwarding - Device

Immediate Call Forwarding
  1. Dial *72 followed by the 10-digit forwarding phone number (e.g., *72-999-555-4567).
  2. Press Send then wait for confirmation beeps/message.

Conditional Call Forwarding (No Answer / Busy Transfer)

  1. Dial *71 followed by the 10-digit forwarding phone number (e.g., *71-999-555-4567).
  2. Press Send then wait for confirmation beeps/message.

 

Disable Call Forwarding/Conditional Call Forwarding (No Answer / Busy Transfer) - Device

  1. To turn off Call Forwarding/Conditional Call Forwarding (No Answer / Busy Transfer), dial *73.
  2. Press Send and wait for confirmation beeps/message.

 

Enable Call Forwarding /Conditional Call Forwarding (No Answer / Busy Transfer) - My Verizon Website

  1. Navigate: My Verizon > My Device > View All > Additional Actions > Set Up Call Forwarding.
  2. From the Set Up or Cancel Forwarding section, enter the 10-digit forwarding phone number in the Forward Mobile Number to field.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    • Forward all calls
    • Forward calls when my line is busy or there is no answer
  4. Click Update Call Forwarding Status.

 

Disable Call Forwarding/Conditional Call Forwarding (No Answer / Busy Transfer) - My Verizon Website

  1. Navigate: My Verizon > My Device > View All > Additional Actions > Set Up Call Forwarding.
  2. If prompted, choose a number from the Select a number dropdown menu from the Set Up or Cancel Forwarding section.
  3. Click Cancel Call Forwarding.
