Hard Reset - Samsung Omnia II SCH-I920

Warning A hard reset is the last resort for troubleshooting. This reset will erase all data and restore preferences to factory default specifications. Performing a hard reset is only recommended when the existing data has been backed up or is unwanted.

Note To prevent the loss of encrypted data, refer to Microsoft® Knowledge Base Article - 944102 for additional assistance.
 
If the preferred method is not available, there is an alternate method.

 

Preferred method
  1. From the Today screen, tap Start.
    Today screen
  2. Tap Settings.
    Tap Settings
  3. Tap Memory Settings.
    Tap Memory Settings
  4. Tap Clear All Data.
    Tap Clear All Data
  5. Tap Clear All Data.
    Tap Clear All Data
  6. Tap Yes.
    Tap Yes
  7. Enter the Device Lock Code (the default code is last 4 digits of the mobile number) then tap Done.

Alternate Method
  1. Turn the device over and pull the slot (located at the lower end) then carefully remove the cover.
    Remove battery cover
  2. Use the stylus to gently press and release the reset button (located on the lower-right side of the device).
    Soft reset
  3. Press and hold the send, end and lock keys at the same time.
    Note This step must be performed immediately after releasing the reset button in step 2. All the keys must be pressed at the same time.

  4. Press the send key to format the device.
