Hard Reset - DROID by MOTOROLA

Note Performing a hard reset removes ALL data including the Google account, system data, app data, app settings, and downloaded apps. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.

  1. From the home screen, select the apps tab (located at the bottom).

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Privacy.

  4. Select Factory data reset.

  5. Select Reset phone.

  6. Select Erase Everything.

  7. If necessary, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.

Alternate Method

  1. With the device powered off, slide the keyboard open.

  2. Press and hold the Volume up button and Camera button (located on the lower-right edge of device) simultaneously for 10 seconds.
    Note When the Recovery menu screen appears, release the keys.
  3. Using the Volume buttons, select Wipe data factory Reset.
  4. Press the center of 5-way navigation pad.

  5. Using the Volume buttons, select Yes -- delete all user data.

  6. Press the center of 5-way navigation pad.

  7. Using the Volume buttons, select Reboot system now.

  8. Press the center of 5-way navigation pad.

  9. If necessary, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.
