Hard Reset - Enlighten™ by LG

Caution Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings and downloaded applications. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.

Note When attempting to determine if a 3rd party application is the cause of an operating system / application issue on a device that does not support Automatic Restore, skip the Google Account setup during the initial setup of the device.

Preferred Method

  1. From the home screen, select Apps.

  2. Select Settings (under Tools).

  3. Select Privacy.

  4. From the Personal data section, select Factory data reset.

  5. Select Reset phone.
    Note If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.

  6. Select Erase Everything.
    Note The reset process may take up to 90 seconds to complete.

Alternate Method

  1. Ensure that the device is powered off.
    1. To power off, press and hold the Power button.

    2. Select Power off.

    3. Select OK.

  2. Press and hold the volume down and home keys. While continuing to hold, press and hold the Power button until the LG logo appears then release (continue to hold the volume and home keys). Once the Android logo appears, release the volume down and home keys.
    Note The reset process may take up to 90 seconds to complete.
    Note To setup the device after completing the factory data reset, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.
