Windows® Device Manager Conflicts - Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile HotSpot MiFi 4510L

Start Device Manager.

  • Windows 8
    • Right-Click Start Screen > All Apps > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Windows 7
    • Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Windows Vista
    • Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (System and Maintenance) > Device Manager.
      Note If prompted, click Continue.
  • Windows XP
    • Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (Performance and Maintenance) > System > Hardware > Device Manager.

The following devices are normally installed:

Modems
Novatel Wireless Modem
Network adapters
Novatel Wireless Network Adapter
Ports (COM & LPT)
Novatel Wireless Application Port (COMx)
Novatel Wireless Status Port (COMx)
Universal Serial Bus controllers
USB Composite Device
Windows Device Manager with installed devices
Note If a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displayed to the left of a listed device, a conflict is present and the drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Note Driver conflicts may also be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown.

    If a conflict is present:

    1. Right-click the device then click Update Driver.
      Note If using Windows Vista, right-click the device then click Update Driver Software.
      Note The device name may vary from the example given but the process is the same.

    2. Click Browse my computer for driver software .
      Note If using Windows XP, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) then click Next.

    3. Enter C:\Program Files\Novatel Wireless\MiFi4510\Drivers into the search field then click Next.
      Note If using Windows XP, ensure that Search for the best driver in these locations and Include this location in the search are selected then click Next.
      Note The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.

    4. Click Close.
      Note If using Windows XP, click Finish.
