iCloud Settings - Apple® iPhone® 4

Note iCloud requires iOS 5 or later on an iPhone 4 or later ; a Mac computer with OS X Lion; or a PC with Windows Vista or Windows 7 (Outlook 2007 or 2010 or an up-to-date browser is required for accessing email, contacts and calendars). Some features require a Wi-Fi connection. Some features are not available in all countries. Access to some services is limited to 10 devices.

Note iCloud is only available on a device using software version iOS5 or later. To determine the device software version, refer to View Software Version.

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.

  2. Select iCloud.

  3. If prompted, enter the Apple ID and password then select Sign In.
    Enter apple id and password then sign in
  4. If prompted to merge, select Merge.
  5. If prompted to allow iCloud to use the location of your iPhone, select the option.
    • Don't Allow
    • OK
    Select location option
  6. Drag the switches left or right to enable/disable iCloud options.
    Note Enabled if set to On.
    Note iCloud options may vary.
    • Mail
    • Contacts
    • Calendars
    • Reminders
    • Safari
    • Bookmarks
    • Notes
    • Find My iPhone

  7. Select Photo Stream.

  8. Drag the switch left or right to enable/disable Photo Stream.
    Note Enabled if set to On.
    Note Photo Stream automatically uploads new photos to iCloud and downloads them to all of your devices when connected to iCloud.

  9. Select iCloud (located in the upper left corner of screen).

  10. Select Documents & Data.

  11. Drag the switch left or right to enable/disable Documents & Data.
    Note Enabled if set to On.
    Note Allow apps to store documents and data in iCloud
    Enable disable documents and settings
  12. Drag the switch left or right to enable/disable Use Cellular.
    Note Enabled if set to On.
    Note When not connected to Wi-Fi, use cellular network to transfer documents and data.

  13. Select iCloud (located in the upper left corner of screen).

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select iCloud.
  3. If prompted, enter the Apple ID and password then select Sign In.
  4. If prompted to merge, select Merge.
  5. If prompted to allow iCloud to use the location of your iPhone, select the option.
    • Don't Allow
    • OK
  6. Drag the switches left or right to enable/disable the iCloud options.
    Note Enabled when the switch is in the green position.

    • Calendars
    • Reminders
    • Safari
    • Notes
    • Passbook
    • Find My iPhone
  7. Select Keychain.
  8. Select the iCloud Keychain switch to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when the switch is in the green position.
  9. If prompted, select the iCloud Keychain option then follow the appropriate screen prompts.
    Note Screen prompts could include entering existing security code or creating a new one.
    • Restore with Secuirty Code
    • Reset iCloud Keychain
  10. Select iCloud (located in the upper-left).
  11. Select Photos.
  12. Select the My Photo Stream switch to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when the switch is in the green position.
    Note Photo Stream automatically uploads new photos to iCloud and downloads them to all of your devices when connected to iCloud.
  13. Select the Photo Sharing switch to enable/disable then select iCloud (located in the upper-left).
    Note Photo sharing is enabled when the switch is in the green position.
  14. Select Documents & Data.
  15. Select the Documents & Data switch to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when the switch is in the green position.
  16. Select the Use Cellular Data switch to enable/disable then select iCloud (located in the upper-left).
    Note Use Cellular Data is enabled when the switch is in the green position.
    Note When not connected to Wi-Fi, use cellular network to transfer documents and data.
