Set Up Wi-Fi Connection - DROID 4 by MOTOROLA

Note Local area Wi-Fi network information is needed to complete several steps. Please refer to the network administrator for additional assistance.

  1. From a home screen, select Apps ( Apps menu icon located at the bottom). Select Settings.
  2. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled.
    Note Enabled when a blue indicator is set to ON.
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi network.
    Note If the preferred network is not displayed, refer to Add Network for assistance.
  5. If presented, enter the appropriate password / key then select Connect.
    Note To view the password, select Show password (enabled when a green indicator is present).

 

Add Network

  1. Select Add Network (the + symbol in the lower-right).
  2. From the Network SSID field, enter the appropriate name.
  3. Select the Security field.
  4. Select the appropriate security option:
    Note If presented, enter a password into the New and Confirm new password fields then select OK.
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA/WPA2 PSK
    • 802.1x EAP
  5. If presented, enter the appropriate password / key.
    Note To view the password, select Show password (enabled when a blue indicator is present).
  6. For advanced options, select advanced options (enabled when a blue indicator is present).
  7. Ensure additional settings (e.g. WPS, Proxy settings, IP Settings, etc.) are configured appropriately (if applicable).
  8. Select Save.
