Transfer Pictures/Videos - DROID CHARGE™ by SAMSUNG

This helps when you want to transfer or move your picture/video files between your device and a computer/PC. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren't currently using the tool.

Only DRM free / unprotected video can be transferred via this method. DRM protected content do not play on this device.

Transfer from a Computer to the Device

  1. Enable USB Mass Storage.
  2. From the computer, launch Windows Explorer / Finder.
    Note For Windows Explorer, press the Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys using the computer keyboard.
    Note For Finder, click the Finder icon located on the dock.
  3. Using Windows Explorer / Finder, create a new picture / video folder in Removable Disk (X:).
    Note Removable Disk (X:) represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
  4. Utilize the computer to copy video / picture files into the new directory.
  5. From the device, select Disconnect storage from PC.
    Note If the USB mass storage screen is not visible, press the Home key, press the Menu button, select Notifications then select Turn off USB storage.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

Transfer from the Device to a Computer

  1. Enable USB Mass Storage.

  3. Using Windows Explorer / Finder, navigate to Removable Disk (X:).
    Note Removable Disk (X:) represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
  4. Utilize the computer to copy video / picture files from the following folders to the desired location on the computer's hard drive:
    Note Folder names may vary.
    • DCIM\Camera
    • download
    • Videos
    • Pictures
  5. From the device, select Disconnect storage from PC.
    Note If the USB mass storage screen is not visible, press the Home key, press the Menu button, select Notifications then select Turn off USB storage.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
