Hard Reset - Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 7.7

Note Performing a hard reset removes all data including the Google account, system data, app data, app settings, and downloaded apps. Only perform a hard reset if absolutely necessary.
Note Pictures, Videos and Music are also removed. It is recommended to backup this data.
Note Personal data such as Wi-Fi passwords, Browser bookmarks, User dictionary, a list of installed Google Play apps and other customized settings can be backed up to and restored from Google's servers.

  1. From a home screen, select Apps ( Applications icon located in the upper right).

  2. From the Apps tab, select Settings.

  3. Select Back up and reset.

  4. Select Factory data reset.

  5. Select Reset device.
    Note If prompted, enter the device password then select Continue.

  6. Select Erase everything.

  7. If needed, perform Initial Activation and Setup.

Alternate Mthod

  1. With the device powered off, press and hold the Volume Up then press the Power button to power the device on.
  2. When the Samsung logo appears, release the Power button.
  3. When the Android system recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up.
  4. Press the Volume down key to select wipe data / factory reset.
  5. Press the Power button.
  6. Press the Volume down key to select Yes -- delete all user data.
  7. Press the Power button.
  8. Ensure reboot system now is selected then press the Power button.
  9. If needed, perform Initial Activation and Setup.
