Transfer Music Files - Lucid™ by LG

This helps you move or transfer music between your device and a computer/PC. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren't currently using the tool.

caution Only DRM free / unprotected music can be transferred via this method. DRM protected content (e.g. songs downloaded via iTunes (not all iTunes songs are protected), Rhapsody subscription, etc.) will not play on this device.

Transfer from a computer to the device

  1. Enable USB Mass Storage.
  2. From the computer, launch Windows Explorer / Finder.
    Note For Windows Explorer, press the Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys using the computer keyboard.
    Note For Finder, click the Finder icon located on the dock.
  3. From File Explorer / Finder on the computer, create a new music folder in Removable Disk (X:).
    note Removable Disk (X:) represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
  4. Use the computer to copy music and other audio files into the newly created folder.
    note For any accompanying artwork in JPEG format, rename the art file albumart.jpg and copy into the same folder as the music files.
  5. To further organize files, create a subfolder in the newly created music folder and copy desired music files into it.
  6. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

Transfer from the device to a computer

  1. Enable USB Mass Storage.
  2. From the computer, launch Windows Explorer / Finder.
    Note For Windows Explorer, press the Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys using the computer keyboard.
    Note For Finder, click the Finder icon located on the dock.
  3. Using Windows Explorer / Finder, navigate to Removable Disk (X:).
    Note Removable Disk (X:) represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
  4. Utilize the computer to copy music files from the device to the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
  5. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
