Advanced Settings - Verizon Jetpack™ 4G LTE Mobile HotSpot - MiFi® 5510L

Caution Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance, and security of the Jetpack. Contact your local IT administrator prior to altering any of these settings.

  1. Access the Administration Web Interface.
  2. From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.
  3. From the Advanced tab, click Continue (located on the right).
  4. Click any of the following:

 

 

Networks

Note For information regarding APN settings, refer to Edit Access Point Name (APN).

  1. From the Preferred network technology field, click the drop down menu.
  2. Click the appropriate setting:
    • Automatic (4G LTE, CDMA)
    • 4G LTE only
    • CDMA Auto (EVDO, 1xRTT)
    • EVDO only
    • 1xRTT only
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).

Manual DNS

Caution Domain Name Server (DNS) settings are automatically assigned by the device. If enabling manual DNS is necessary, contact your local IT administrator for assistance.

  1. To enable, select (check) Enable manual DNS.
  2. From the DNS 1 IP address and DNS 2 IP address fields, enter the appropriate information.
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).

Firewall

  1. From the VPN Passthrough section, click the ON / OFF switch ( On / Off switch ) to enable or disable.
  2. From the UPv6 Transparent Mode section, click the ON / OFF switch ( On / Off switch ) to enable or disable.

LAN

  1. From the IPv4 section, enter the desired information into the following fields:
    • IP address
    • Subnet mask
    • Enable DHCP server
      Note Enabled when a check mark is present.
    • Start DHCP address range at
  2. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).

Port Filtering

  1. From the Port Filtering section, click the ON / OFF switch ( On / Off switch ) to enable or disable.
  2. From the Applications section, select the desired application(s).
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    Note If the application is not listed, click Add Custom Application (located in the lower-left) then enter the appropriate information.
    Note If disabling Port Filtering, skip to step 3.
  3. Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).
