Task Manager - Samsung Galaxy S® III

  1. Press and hold the Home key.
    Home
  2. Select Task manager (located in the lower-left).

  3. Select the appropriate tab (located at the top of the screen): Task Manager tabs

 

 

Active Applications

  1. View the active application(s).
    Note An application blinking red for more than five seconds may indicate high CPU usage.

  2. To stop an active application, select END (located to the right of the application).
    End
  3. Select OK.

  4. To stop all active applications, select End all.

  5. Select OK.

Downloaded Applications

  1. View the downloaded application(s).

  2. To uninstall a downloaded application, select Uninstall (located to the right of the application).

RAM

NoteClearing Random Access Memory (RAM) will end running applications and stop background applications. Verify that application data is saved before clearing memory.

NoteClearing Random Access Memory (RAM) may resolve issues with the device / display freezing. The device may be running low on memory (RAM).

  1. From the RAM status section, view the amount of random access memory (RAM) being used.

  2. To clear inactive and background processes, select Clear memory.
