Volume Controls - Samsung Galaxy S® 4

Adjusting volume controls can help if you're not getting notifications/ringing/vibrating when receiving calls/texts/emails. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren't currently using the tool.

Note Refer to Turn Off All Sounds to verify if all sounds (including reveiver voice) are enabled/disabled.

  1. To adjust volume, press the volume button (located on the left side) up or down.

  2. If unable to adjust volume, verify that the Turn Off All Sounds setting is disabled.

Internal Volume Settings

  1. From the home screen, select Apps (located in the lower-right).

  2. From the Apps tab, select Settings.

  3. From the My Device tab, select Sound.

  4. Select Volume.

  5. Adjust any of the following then select OK:
    • Music, video, games & other media
    • Ringtone
    • Notifications
    • System

  6. If unable to adjust volume, verify that the Turn Off All Sounds setting is disabled.
