Transfer Pictures/Videos - Nokia Lumia 928

This helps when you want to transfer or move your picture/video files between your device and a computer/PC. Our Troubleshooting Assistant can help you with other device issues if you aren't currently using the tool.

Only DRM free / unprotected video can be transferred via this method. DRM protected content do not play on this device.

Transfer from a Computer to the Device

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. From the computer, launch Windows Explorer / Finder.
    Note For Windows Explorer, press the Windows+E ( windows key logo+E) keys using the computer keyboard.
    Note For Finder, click the Finder icon located on the dock.
  3. From Windows Explorer/Finder, click Windows Phone (under Portable Devices).
  4. Click Phone
  5. Create a new picture folder or open the existing pictures folder (if present).
  6. Utilize the computer to copy files into the picture folder.
  7. To further organize files, utilize the subfolders in the pictures folder and copy desired files into them.
  8. Create a new video folder or open the existing videos folder (if present).
  9. Utilize the computer to copy files into the video folder.
  10. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

Transfer from the Device to a Computer

  1. Connect the device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.

  5. Locate then open the existing pictures folder.
  6. Utilize the computer to copy picture files from the device to the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
  7. Locate then open the existing videos folder.
  8. Utilize the computer to copy video files from the device to the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
  9. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
