Fetch New Data - Apple® iPad®

Note Fetch New Data is a feature that allows the user to select how often the device checks for new email. Push is a feature that is only available with certain email accounts that automatically pushes email to the device.

Caution Enabling Push requires more power and may have an effect on battery life.

Note To determine the device software version, refer to View Software Version.

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.
  2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Select Fetch New Data.
  4. Drag the Push switch left or right to enable / disable pushing new data.
    On
    Push enabled
    Off
    Push disabled
  5. Select the Fetch setting.
    • Every 15 Minutes
    • Every 30 Minutes
    • Hourly
    • Manually
  6. Select Advanced.
  7. Select the account.
  8. Select the schedule.
    Available schedule options may vary depending on account type.
    • Push
    • Fetch
    • Manual

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.

  3. Select Fetch New Data.

  4. Select the Push switch to enable/disable.
    Note Enabled when the switch is in the green position.

  6. Select the schedule option then select Fetch New Data.
    Note The schedule option is selected when a check mark is present.
