Fetch New Data - Apple® iPad®

Caution Turning on Push requires more power and may have an effect on battery life.

Note Notes:

  • Fetch New Data is a feature that allows the user to select how often the device checks for new email. Push is a feature that is only available with certain email accounts that automatically pushes email to the device.
  • To determine the device software version, refer to View Software Version.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Fetch New Data.
  4. Tap the Push switch to turn on Switch On or off Switch Off.
    Push is turned on if the switch is in the green position.
  5. Tap an email account.
  6. Tap the schedule option then tap Fetch New Data.
    Note The schedule option is selected when a check mark is present.
    • Fetch
    • Manual
  7. Tap the Fetch setting.
    Note Selected when a check mark is present.
    • Every 15 Minutes
    • Every 30 Minutes
    • Hourly
    • Manually
