Repair Assistant - Software Upgrade Assistant (Samsung)

Note Notes:
  • Ensure the Software Upgrade Assistant software is installed. Refer to Initial Setup - Software Upgrade Assistant for assistance.
  • Ensure the wireless device is powered on and able to be unlocked if necessary then connect it to a compatible computer using the supplied USB cable.

Caution The repair process may take up to 30-90 minutes. Do not disconnect the device from the computer during the repair process.

Windows

  1. From the Windows desktop, navigate Start > All Programs (Programs) > Verizon > Launch Utility Application.

  2. Click the Software Upgrade Assistant tray icon.

  3. Click Repair Assistant.

  4. Click Run Repair Assistant.

  5. Click Repair.
    Repair
  6. Select the information to backup:
    The available information to repair may vary.
    To backup all information click Select All.
    • Contacts
    • Calendar
    • Messages
    • S Memo
    • Call log
    Select information to backup
  7. Click Backup.

  8. The backup process begins.

  9. Once the backup process has completed the repair process will begin.

  10. Once the repair process has completed, the restore process begins.

  11. When the recovery process has completed, click Close.
    The status will show as Repair completed.

    To backup all information click Select All.

    Select Information to backup
  6. Click Backup (located in the lower-right).

  7. The backup process begins.

  8. Once the backup process has completed, the repair process begins.

  9. Once the repair process has completed, the restore process begins.

  10. When the recovery process has completed, click Close.
    The status will show as Ready to repair.
