Add a Virtual Private Network - Apple® iPhone® 5C

VPN settings may not allow the device to connect to an unsecured Wi-Fi connection. The device may not indicate that a Wi-Fi connection has been ended due to this restriction. If available, the device resumes a 3G/4G connection and data usage may be incurred. Contact your VPN Administrator for more assistance.

Note Contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap VPN.
  4. Tap Add VPN Configuration.
  5. Select the VPN type:
    L2TP
    Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol
    PPTP
    Point-to-point Tunneling Protocol
    IPSec
    Internet Protocol Security

 

L2TP

  1. Enter/Select the LT2P VPN information.
    • Description
    • Server
    • Account
    • RSA SecurID (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note RSA SecurID is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
    • Password
    • Secret
    • Send All Traffic (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note Send All Traffic is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
  2. Select the Proxy setting.
    • Off
    • Manual
    • Auto
  3. If Manual was selected, enter / select the proxy information.
    • Server
    • Port
    • Authentication (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note Authentication is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
  4. If Auto was selected, enter the URL.
  5. Tap Save (located in the upper-right).

PPTP

  1. Enter/Select the PPTP VPN information.
    • Description
    • Server
    • Account
    • RSA SecurID (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note RSA SecurID is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
    • Password
    • Encryption Level
    • Send All Traffic (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note Send All Traffic is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
  2. Select the Proxy setting.
    • Off
    • Manual
    • Auto
  3. If Manual was selected, enter/select the proxy information.
    • Server
    • Port
    • Authentication (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note Authentication is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
  4. If Auto was selected, enter the URL.
  5. Tap Save (located in the upper-right).

IPSec

  1. Enter/Select the IPSec VPN information.
    • Description
    • Server
    • Account
    • Password
    • Use Certificate (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note Use Certificate is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
    • Group Name
    • Secret
  2. Select the Proxy setting.
    • Off
    • Manual
    • Auto
  3. If Manual was selected, enter/select the proxy information.
    • Server
    • Port
    • Authentication (on Switch On or off Switch Off).
      Note Authentication is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
  4. If Auto was selected, enter the URL.
  5. Tap Save (located in the upper-right).
