Set Up Wi-Fi Connection - Apple® iPhone® 5S

VPN settings may not allow the device to connect to an unsecured Wi-Fi connection. The device may not indicate that a Wi-Fi connection has been ended due to this restriction. If available, the device resumes a 4G connection and data usage are incurred. Contact your VPN Administrator for more assistance.

Note Local area Wi-Fi network information is needed to complete several steps. Please refer to the network administrator for additional assistance.

  1. From the home screen, select Settings.

  2. Select Wi-Fi.

  3. Select then drag the Wi-Fi switch to enable.
    Note Enabled when the switch is in the green position.

Join an existing Wi-Fi Network

  1. From Choose a Network, select an available network.
    Select available wifi network
  2. Enter the username (if prompted) and password then select Join.

Add a Wi-Fi network

Note When re-adding a Wi-Fi network or if a network setting is in need of correction, it is recommended to remove the Wi-Fi network first. Refer to Remove Wi-Fi Connection - Apple iPhone for assistance.
  1. From Choose a Network, select Other.

  2. Enter the Wi-Fi network name.

  3. Select Security.

  4. Select the Wi-Fi network type then select Back (located in the upper-left).
    • None
    • WEP
    • WPA
    • WPA2
    • WPA Enterprise
    • WPA2 Enterprise
    Select wifi network type
  5. Enter the Wi-Fi network password then select Join.
