  1. What’s The MORE Everything Plan and what do I have to do to get it?

    The MORE Everything Plan expands the benefits of the Share Everything® Plan, but your monthly access fees won’t change.

    The upgrade to The MORE Everything Plan was automatically done for customers with the Share Everything Plan.

    You get to choose how much data to share with up to 10 devices on your account. Our MORE Everything Data Calculator can help you decide which data option is best for you.

    For a limited time get MORE shared data on The MORE Everything Plan. Get up to double the data for the same price on 15GB plans and higher.

  2. I’m not currently a Verizon Wireless customer. How can I purchase a device and plan?

    To purchase a new device and plan, there are two options:

    • Select a device first – Go to the Phones & Devices page to select a device you want, and then select a plan compatible with that device.
    • Select a plan first – Go to the Plans page and select “Shop MORE Everything” or “Shop Prepaid,” and then choose from devices compatible with your selection.

    After selecting a device and plan, follow the prompts to select your features and accessories and to checkout.

  8. I’m a current Verizon Wireless customer. Do I have to change my current plan to The MORE Everything Plan?

    Most customers with the Share Everything Plan will automatically be converted to The MORE Everything Plan. Plus, most customers will receive additional data with The MORE Everything Plan, but monthly access fees won’t change.

    If you don’t have the Share Everything Plan, you’re not required to switch to The MORE Everything Plan, but you may want to check out its benefits.   1. How many international text or multimedia messages can I send each month on The MORE Everything Plan?

    You can send as many as you want. Every device on your account gets to send unlimited text and multimedia messages internationally from the US on The MORE Everything Plan.

  1. How can I get the discount on the monthly line access of The MORE Everything Plan?

    Customers who participate in Verizon Edge may qualify for a discount on the monthly line access charge.

    You’ll receive $15 off the monthly line access charge if you meet both of the following requirements:

    • You have a smartphone with Verizon Edge
    • Your data allowance is 250 MB, 500 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, 3 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB

    You’ll receive $25 off the monthly line access charge if you meet both of the following requirements:
    • You have a smartphone with Verizon Edge
    • Your data allowance is 10 GB or greater

    Note: Existing and qualifying Edge customers on The MORE Everything Plan automatically receive the discounts.

  2. If I’m no longer participating in the Verizon Edge program, do I still get the discount off my monthly line access?

    No, only customers who are currently enrolled and making monthly payments toward their Verizon Edge agreement qualify for the $15 or $25 monthly discount.

  1. What is Mobile Hotspot, and how much does it cost?

    Mobile Hotspot lets you use your smartphone, tablet or basic phone as a modem. You can connect your computer or other compatible device to it through Wi-Fi, and get online access while on-the-go.

    There’s no additional charge for Mobile Hotspot. It’s included in The MORE Everything Plan.

  2. How do I enable Mobile Hotspot on my smartphone or tablet?

    Instructions on how to enable and use the Mobile Hotspot feature on your device can be found on our Interactive Simulators page. Select your device and follow the instructions within the simulator. Additionally, you may search for Support topics on Mobile Hotspot such as “turn on Mobile Hotspot” or “how to use Mobile Hotspot.”

    Data allowances give you access to the Internet over the Verizon Wireless network. The MORE Everything Plan comes with a data allowance that you can share with up to 10 lines on your account.

  3. I have unlimited data on my account. Do I need to change to The MORE Everything Plan if I want to get a new device?

    No, you’re not required to switch to The MORE Everything Plan when you get a new device; however, you’ll only have the option to keep unlimited data if you pay the full retail price for your new device. When you upgrade to a phone at a discounted price, you have the option to choose from either a voice plan with a standalone data package or The MORE Everything Plan.

  4. I'm a current Verizon customer with a 3G phone, but I need faster data downloads. Do I have to go to the new MORE Everything Plan if I upgrade to a 4G phone?

    No, you aren’t required to switch to The MORE Everything Plan, even when upgrading your device.

    However, if you currently have an unlimited data plan, you won’t be able to keep it if you upgrade at a discounted price. You can choose from a plan with a standalone data package or The MORE Everything Plan. If keeping unlimited data is important to you, you have the option to pay full retail price for a new phone.

  5. I have an iPad® with a 1 GB plan for $20. Can I keep that plan, or do I have to switch to The MORE Everything Plan?

    The iPad plan that includes 1 GB for $20 won’t change. You can move to The MORE Everything Plan, but there’s no need to if you’re satisfied with your existing plan.

  6. Is “pay as you go” data available for smartphones, tablets, the Verizon Jetpack® or other connected devices under The MORE Everything Plan?

  7. I currently have a Family SharePlan® with unlimited data. If I want to add an additional smartphone, will it have unlimited data as well?

    If you want to add another line to your account and switch to The MORE Everything Plan, you’ll have more options for data and be able to select the data allowance that matches your usage patterns and budget. Plus The MORE Everything Plan includes unlimited minutes, unlimited messages and shareable data for up to 10 devices on your account.

    If you’re a current customer interested in adding another line to your account but don’t want to change your current plan to The MORE Everything Plan, we offer three data packages that can be added to your plan, starting as low as $30 per month. The data allowances in these packages aren’t shared.

  8. Why are monthly line access charges different for each device type on The MORE Everything Plan?

    The price varies based on the features and functionality of the device. Smartphones have a higher monthly line access charge because they typically use a lot of data, minutes and messages compared to tablets, netbooks or connected devices, which just use data.

  9. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Camera®. Why do I have to switch to The MORE Everything Plan?

    If you wish to sync pictures and videos to social media sites and email, a wireless network or Wi-Fi connection is required. You can add the Samsung Galaxy Camera on The MORE Everything plan for just $5/month and have the ability to share data with all devices on the account. If you wish to maintain your existing plan, you can purchase the camera and use it over a Wi-Fi network only, not our 4G LTE network.

  1. If I change one line on my account to The MORE Everything Plan, do I have to change the other lines too?

    If you don’t currently have a plan that shares allowances, you don’t have to change the other lines to The MORE Everything Plan.

    If you currently have a plan that shares allowances, you would have to change the other lines to The MORE Everything Plan because you can’t have multiple shared plans on one account (e.g., a Family SharePlan® and The MORE Everything Plan). However, you could have multiple accounts that receive separate bills, one with The MORE Everything Plan and the other with a Family SharePlan.

  2. I don’t want to upgrade my smartphone, but I want to switch to The MORE Everything Plan so I can share data with my tablet, netbook or other connected device. Can I change plans without upgrading?

    Yes, you can switch to The MORE Everything Plan without upgrading your device from the Change Plan page in My Verizon.

  3. How does The MORE Everything Plan impact an account with just one line?

    There are no special impacts if you have just one line on The MORE Everything Plan. In addition, Mobile Hotspot is included at no additional cost, so you can connect and share your plan’s data allowance with multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices. If you decide to add another line to your plan, The MORE Everything Plan lets you share data with up to 10 devices.

    Yes, The MORE Everything Plan includes Mobile Hotspot for no additional charge on capable devices, which lets your child connect to the Internet through your phone.

  5. What is backdating and how can I use that with The MORE Everything Plan?

    Depending on your current plan, you may be eligible to change and backdate your plan to the first day of your bill cycle. Your bill will be calculated as if you were on your new calling plan for the entire bill cycle.

  3. How can I manage my data usage with The MORE Everything Plan?

    You can manage your data in two ways:

    • My Verizon and My Verizon Mobile: Monitor your unbilled monthly data usage from the My Verizon Overview page.

    • Usage Alerts: Set up customized usage alerts in My Verizon to send a notification when you’re reaching your data limit. To set up a customized data alert:
        1. Go to the Data Usage Alerts page in My Verizon.
        2. Set your alert settings under Send alert when data used reaches:
        3. Click Save Alert Settings.

    Should you find that you need more or less data than your MORE Everything Plan provides, you can change your plan at any time in My Verizon.

  4. Is there is a way to limit an individual's data use within The MORE Everything Plan?

    Yes. With Verizon FamilyBase™, you’ll be able to monitor and set limits for data usage, define time restrictions for when data should not be used and receive alerts for each line. Verizon FamilyBase is available for $5/month for your entire account (up to 10 lines.)

  5. Can I see how much data I have used in my current bill cycle?

    There are various ways to check your data usage both online and on your device.

    You’ll see the data usage for your last bill cycle. You can see a summary of your data usage in KB, MB, or GB.

  7. What happens if I go over my monthly data usage limit on The MORE Everything Plan?

    The cost varies based on your plan and the amount of data.  

    • 250 MB Plan – $15 for each additional 200 MB of data
    • 500 MB plan – $15 for each additional 500 MB of data
    • 1 GB plans and above – $15 for each additional 1 GB of data
    • For the 700-minute plan, Pay As You Go data rate is $1.99/MB and applies to basic phones on plans without a data allowance. Personal email is available for an additional $5/month for basic phones on the 700-minute plan. Voice overage is $0.45/minute. You can change your plan at any time on My Verizon.

  8. Can I monitor my monthly data usage?

    Yes, with My Verizon and My Verizon Mobile, you can set up alerts to help you monitor your data usage. You and all the lines on your account will receive text messages or emails telling you when you’ve used the following amounts of your data allowance:

    • 50%
    • 75%
    • 90%
    • 100%
    • 110% (a one-time overage alert)
    To set up a customized data alerts:

      1. Go to the Usage Alerts page in My Verizon.

      2. Under the When to Alert section, scroll down to Data and select the alerts you’d like to receive.

        Note: When a check mark appears above a percentage amount, that indicates the alert has been turned on for that usage amount.

      3. Click Save All Alerts.

    You’ve successfully set up data usage alerts.

  9. My average monthly data usage falls right in between two MORE Everything Plan data options. Is it better for me to get the larger plan?

    If your data usage falls between two options, it may be a better value to sign up for the larger allowance. For example, if you have a 2 GB Plan (which costs $50) and you exceed it, you would be paying $65 for 3 GB. We recommend changing to the 3 GB Plan, which costs $60. Should you find that you need more or less data, you can change your allowance at any time in My Verizon.

  10. How does using Wi-Fi impact my data usage?

    By activating your Wi-Fi settings, you’ll still have access to the Internet, but you won’t use your monthly data allowance. Most smartphones and tablets can be configured to search for open Wi-Fi hotspots and, depending on your settings, automatically connect.

    Note: Wi-Fi hotspots generally don’t include over-the-air encryption to protect your data from observation from other users. As such, we recommend that you always use a firewall on your computer and have current anti-virus software to protect your computer from possible infection or attack. Using Wi-Fi can also deplete your battery faster than using a Verizon Wireless network connection.

  11. I reset my device and have to download all of my apps again. Will I be charged for data usage when I do this?

    Unfortunately, yes, you’ll be charged for data usage on apps you re-download, or you can save on data usage by connecting to a WiFi network.

  12. If Google™ releases Over the Air (OTA) updates for my device, will I be charged for data usage?

    No, you won’t be charged for data usage on any OTA updates you receive on your device.

  1. Are there any employee discounts with The MORE Everything Plan?

  2. If I switch to The MORE Everything Plan, can I still sync my devices using an Exchange server?

    Yes, you can still access your personal email and corporate email using Exchange ActiveSync® or Lotus Notes® Traveler under The MORE Everything Plan. However, usage will deduct from the shared data allowance included with your plan.

  3. Are there any additional costs for adding Good for Enterprise™ corporate email to The MORE Everything Plan?

    Access to server-based corporate email that connects using BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, Good for Enterprise or a similar secure connection is available for $15/month per line.
