    You can make a voice call on the Verizon Wireless network and simultaneously browse the Internet over a public or home Wi-Fi connection.

    iPhone 5s and iPhone iPhone 5c will not support simultaneous voice and data on the Verizon Wireless network.

  1. Can I transfer my mobile number from my current wireless service provider to Verizon Wireless?

    In most cases, you can bring your existing number from your current wireless or landline service provider to Verizon Wireless. To check if you're eligible to transfer, or to check the status of a current port request, go to the Keep Your Number page.

    You may be responsible to your old service provider for any contractual requirements and applicable charges, including an early termination fee, on your old account.

  2. Should I cancel my existing service before activating service with Verizon Wireless?

    No, your number must remain active. Canceling your service prior to setting up an account with Verizon Wireless will prevent you from keeping your number.

  3. How long will it take to move my number to Verizon Wireless?

    Moving your current mobile number to a new carrier generally should take no more than three hours to one day, but could take longer. Landline to wireless transfers generally should take no more than four days, but could take longer.

    Processing time may vary depending on the complexity of the port, existing volumes between carriers and your old service provider.

  5. Do I need to sign up for a 2-year agreement when purchasing iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c?

    If you are purchasing iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c at the 2-year promotional price, a new agreement is required. However, you’ll also have the option to purchase iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c at the full retail price, which won't require you to sign a long-term service agreement.

    Note: Activation on a month-to-month agreement is required when purchasing iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c at full retail price.

  7. If I’m an existing Verizon Wireless customer and not currently eligible for an upgrade, will Verizon Wireless offer any special programs to allow upgrades to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c at a reduced price?

    If you are not eligible to upgrade, you can’t upgrade at promotional pricing, but you can pay full retail price for a new iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c. In addition, you may be able to take advantage of the Verizon Wireless Trade-In Program, which allows you to get value for your used device.

    Use our Trade in Program website to determine in a few simple steps whether your used device has value, and if so, you can send the device in and receive a Verizon Wireless gift card.

  1. Are there minimum service and data pricing requirements when purchasing iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c?

    If you are a new Verizon Wireless customer or an existing customer without a data plan, you will need to subscribe to our Share Everything® Plan that will give you Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text and a single pool of Sharable Data for up to 10 devices on your account.

    If you are an existing customer with a Nationwide Plan and data package, you can remain on your current plan.

  2. Can I upgrade from another smartphone to iPhone5s or iPhone 5c and keep my existing service and data pricing?

    If you have an Unlimited Data package and purchase iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c at a discounted price, you’ll need to choose from a calling plan with a usage-based data package or a Share Everything® Plan. You also have the option to keep your Unlimited Data package and pay full retail price for iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c.

    If you don’t have an Unlimited Data package, when you upgrade to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c at discounted pricing, you can keep your existing plan or select from one of the current plans available.

    If you are an existing Verizon Wireless iPhone customer switching to another Verizon Wireless iPhone, your voice mails will not be deleted. If you are not an existing Verizon Wireless iPhone customer, all existing voice mail messages will be lost when transferring over to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c.     The Lightning connectors for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are the same as iPhone 5. The Lightning connector to 30-pin adapter is available to connect iPhone 5, 5s and iPhone 5c to legacy 30-pin accessories. This adapter is sold separately.

    You can use iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c for voice and text in more than 220 countries, with data service in more than 205 countries and 170 of those countries, at 3G speeds. If you’re an existing Verizon Wireless customer, you may add global service using My Verizon or My Verizon Mobile under the Change Features section. All customers may visit a Verizon Wireless store or call Customer Service at (800) 922-0204 to add global service. Eligibility requirements may apply.

    iTunes is one of the ways you can set up your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c, but a PC connection isn’t required. You can set up your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c:
