  1. How can I check my balance from my phone?

    Call #BAL (# 225) to find out the current balance on your account. Here are some other commonly used # features that may be helpful to you:

  2. How do I check my data usage?

    There are a few ways to check your data usage:

    • Call #DATA from your mobile phone (airtime free)
    • Sign in to My Verizon to check your data usage. Your usage will be displayed on the Overview page after signing in.
    • If you have a compatible smartphone, open the My Verizon Mobile app to see your usage detail. You won’t be charged data usage for My Verizon Mobile.

  3. When I check my usage by dialing #MIN or #DATA on my phone, how frequently is the information updated?

    #MIN and #DATA are estimates of the minutes and data used since your last statement date. The estimates are typically updated within the last 24 hours. The minutes estimate may not include usage outside your local calling area (i.e., roaming usage).

  4. When I call #DATA from my mobile phone to check my data usage, what types of data are included?

    Data usage includes:

    • MB or GB used while accessing the Internet
    • MB or GB used while accessing apps that use an Internet connection to work (e.g., some games, email, Facebook®, etc.)
    • Multimedia messages

    Note: You won’t receive information regarding minutes of use.

  5. How do I check my calling minute or data usage from my phone?

    To check your calling minute or data usage from your Verizon Wireless mobile phone:

    1. Call #MIN (# 646) or #DATA (#3282) from your mobile phone.
    2. If you’re on a plan that shares minutes or data between multiple lines, you’ll have the option to listen to the total usage after hearing your individual usage. 
    3. A free text message will be sent to your phone with the usage for your account.

    You’ve successfully checked your usage.

  6. I checked my minute or data usage by dialing #MIN or #DATA on my mobile phone. When do the minute and data usages start over?

    Your minutes and data allowances start over at midnight of the last day of your bill period.

    To identify your bill period, go to the My Bill page in My Verizon. Your bill period will appear at the top of the Bill Summary section.
