  1. What is Voice Mail?

    Voice Mail takes a caller's message when you can't answer the phone. You will receive a message-waiting indicator to let you know that a message has been left for you. Basic Voice Mail includes:

    • Up to 20 stored messages
    • Up to a 3-minute recording per message

  2. How much does Voice Mail cost?

    Basic Voice Mail is free and it’s automatically included with your plan. You just need to set it up when you activate your service.

  3. How do I know my Voice Mail is secure?

    The privacy of customer information is important to us, including the Voice Mail services we offer. That’s one of the reasons you’ll always need a password to access a Verizon Wireless Voice Mail account. You need it from the first time the account is activated, and then every time, and from any phone, including your own mobile phone. There’s no default PIN, and hackers would have to guess or steal the password to access your voice mail.
     
    Remember, you can help keep the information on your phone safe by choosing a strong password for Voice Mail and other accounts. Stay away from common number sequences or things like birthdays or street addresses. Pick random sequences of numbers and change your passwords frequently.
