Verizon Smart Rewards FAQs
  1. What is Verizon Smart Rewards?

    Verizon Smart Rewards is a rewards program through which you can earn points that can be redeemed for savings on merchandise, gift cards, travel, daily deals and entering auctions and sweepstakes. Earning points is easy, and is based on your activities, such as paying your bill using My Verizon, purchasing accessories and more.

    Customers that are eligible for the program have at least 10,000 points waiting for them! You will also earn points for each year you remain a customer with us. For the full list of ways to earn Smart Rewards, visit our Smart Rewards website.

    Note: All mobile numbers on your account can earn points, but all points will be consolidated into one total for the whole account.

  2. Who is eligible for Verizon Smart Rewards?

    Subject to Verizon’s discretion, customers who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in Verizon Smart Rewards:

    • Verizon Wireless customers with an account in good standing
    • Residents of the U.S. (excluding the territories of Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands)

    My Verizon Account Owners or Account Managers can access the Smart Rewards through My Verizon.

    Participation in Smart Rewards may require enrollment in Verizon Selects, which personalizes marketing customers may receive from Verizon and other companies by using information about customers’ use of Verizon products and services including location, web browsing and app usage data. Selects members receive 2,500 Verizon Smart Rewards bonus points after enrollment following their first bill cycle and get an additional 500 points each month for each line participating in Selects.   3. Is there a fee to participate in Verizon Smart Rewards?

    No, there’s no fee to enroll in the Smart Rewards program. You may be required to enroll in Verizon Selects before you can register for Verizon Smart Rewards. If so, you’ll be prompted to join during the program registration process.

  4. How do I register for Verizon Smart Rewards?

    It’s easy for you to register for Verizon Smart Rewards. To register:

    1. Go to the My Verizon home page
    2. Check if you are eligible in the Notification Center in the top right corner of the screen
    3. If you are eligible for Verizon Smart Rewards, the Notification Center will show the amount of points you’ve already earned

    Click on the points notification and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the registration process.

    You have successfully registered for Verizon Smart Rewards and can start redeeming points for exclusive savings.

  5. How do I earn more Verizon Smart Rewards points?

    Earning more points is easy—and they add up fast. You’ll keep getting points just for doing what you already do with Verizon, like paying your monthly bill or signing in to My Verizon. Plus, there are many ways to earn additional points—find a complete list on the Verizon Smart Rewards page.

    NOTE: Any line on your account can earn points and all earned points will be combined into your single Verizon Smart Rewards account total.

  6. Where can I view my Verizon Smart Rewards points balance?

    There are several places where you can see your current Smart Rewards:

    • The Verizon Smart Rewards website will contain your current points balance and any changes are instantly reflected.
    • My Verizon will also display your current points balance in the Notification Center.
    • Once you register for Verizon Smart Rewards, we'll email a monthly eStatement that will contain your current points balance along with other important program information and updates.

  8. How will I know if I’m getting the lowest price available when redeeming my Verizon Smart Rewards points?

    If you find a retail price online that’s lower than what you paid, you’ll get your points back and a refund of the difference.

  9. How long do I have to use my Verizon Smart Rewards points?

    You can redeem your points as long as you remain eligible for the program and as long as Verizon Wireless offers Verizon Smart Rewards. In the event Verizon Wireless discontinues Verizon Smart Rewards, you will be given a reasonable period of time to redeem your accumulated points.  

    NOTE: If you cancel your Verizon Wireless service, your Verizon Smart Rewards account will be suspended. However, if you renew your Verizon Wireless service within 45 days of cancelation, your Verizon Smart Rewards account will be reactivated with the accumulated points intact.

  10. What happens to my points if I transfer my account to someone else?

    Points are non-transferable. If you transfer your account into someone else’s name, you will lose access to any previously accumulated points.

  11. Do Verizon Smart Rewards points have monetary value?

    No, Verizon Smart Rewards points have no monetary value. However, the redemption value of one point is approximately $0.01.
