Yes, we send text messages to your Mobile Broadband device which you can view by selecting the Text Messaging tab in VZ Access Manager. These messages will appear when your usage reaches the 50%, 75%, 90% and 100% levels of your data allowance in the billing period. However, there will be a time lag that can be as long as eight hours between the end of a data session and the point at which your data usage for that session is applied to your account. Therefore, it is possible that you may exceed your usage allowance before receiving a text message.Back to top

Is Mobile Broadband Connect a Wi-Fi service?
No, Verizon Wireless does not currently provide Wi-Fi services. Wi-Fi is a wireless technology utilizing unlicensed spectrum that is provided by hotels, restaurants, and other service providers within a small radius of said business or provider. These areas of connectivity are known as “hotspots.” Wi-Fi connections also require different hardware that may or may not be built into your PC. However, you can use the VZAccess Manager client to connect to Wi-Fi networks provided you have an 802.11 Wi-Fi card or embedded Wi-Fi chipset in your PC.Back to top
