  1. What is HomeFusionSM Broadband?

    HomeFusion Broadband is a home Internet service that delivers the speeds of Verizon’s 4G LTE to your broadband router. The router converts to Wi-Fi® signal to allow for Internet access throughout the home.

    We’re offering the HomeFusion Broadband service to give a high speed home broadband option to households where Internet options may be limited or not currently available.

  2. What are the benefits of using HomeFusionSM Broadband?

    HomeFusion Broadband is a solution for customers who do not have Internet access or have dial-up or DSL Internet service. You can take advantage of high speeds from America’s fastest 4G network. The service will bring the power of our 4G LTE network to tablets, computers, laptops, gaming consoles and other Wi-Fi® capable devices as well as up to four wired Ethernet connected devices.

  3. What speeds can be expected with the HomeFusionSM Broadband service?

    Customers can expect an average of 5-12 Mbps for downloading and 2-5 MBps for uploading.

    The service is available for purchase at all Verizon Wireless retail store locations and select authorized agents.

    Based on your home address, a Sales Representative can determine if the HomeFusion Broadband service is available.

  6. Will I have full access to the Internet with the HomeFusionSM Broadband service?

    It’s a fully functional Internet access solution which may be used in the same manner as other Internet services in the market today such as DSL, cable, satellite, etc.

  7. Is there a limit to the number of devices that can be connected using the HomeFusionSM Broadband service?

    You can connect over 20 Wi-Fi® capable devices using the route and up to four wired Ethernet devices.

  8. What is the expected range of the router while using the HomeFusionSM Broadband service?

    Actual range and speeds will vary based on the radio frequency conditions and obstructions within your home. Most devices should be able to connect within 100 feet of the router and may be able to connect at a greater distance.

  9. Will I be able to choose where the HomeFusionSM Broadband router is placed in my home?

    Typically, you’ll be able to direct the technician as to where to set up the router. However, some home designs may limit these options.

    Once you sign up for HomeFusion Broadband service, the following can be expected:

    • A call from our installation team the day before installation to confirm the scheduled appointment

    • A call the day of installation to provide the estimated time of arrival at your home

    • A technician who will professionally install HomeFusion Broadband service

  14. What is the protection plan for HomeFusionSM Broadband?

    For only $6.99 per month, protection plans cover:

    • Repair or replacement of HomeFusion equipment due to mechanical or electrical failure of the product after the manufacturer's warranty expires
    • Onsite service and labor costs

    The protection plan can be added when you purchase HomeFusion Broadband service, or you can call Customer Service within 30 days after service is activated.

    Installation requires the following equipment:

    • HomeFusion Broadband Antenna
    • HomeFusion Broadband Router
    • Power Inserter
    • Mounting Kit

  2. Where will the HomeFusionSM Broadband antenna be installed?

    The antenna will be mounted on the side exterior of your home where there is 4G LTE coverage and is agreeable to you. The technician will offer best placement for the device and allow you to make the final decision before mounting the device on the exterior of your home. Once the antenna is mounted, we will not remove it even if you cancel your HomeFusion Broadband service.

    The default password is on the label on the back of the router.

  4. How do I access the router’s administrator page for the HomeFusionSM Broadband service?

    To access the router’s administrator page, follow the instructions below:
     

    1. Open your Web browser.

    2. In the Address field, type http://192.168.1.254 and press ENTER.

    3. Enter your user name and password. Then click OK.

      Note: If you did not yet change the password, type admin in the User Name field, and type the Login password printed on the back label of your HBR in the Password field.

    4. The HomeFusionSM Broadband Router (HBR) Graphic User Interface (GUI) appears.

  5. How can I change passwords to access the HomeFusionSM Broadband Router (HBR) Graphic User Interface (GUI)?

    Follow these steps to change your passwords:

    1. Open your Web browser.

    2. In the Address field, type http://192.168.1.254 and press ENTER.

    3. Enter your user name and password.

    4. Go to the Advanced HBR page.

    5. Click users.

    6. Click administrator.

    7. Enter the old password and new password.

    8. Click save.
