Total Mobile Protection

Total Mobile Protection combines the benefits of the Total Equipment Coverage program with technical support for your Verizon Wireless device and the things that connect with it. If your device is lost, stolen or damaged, or if you experience a mechanical or electrical defect after the manufacturer’s warranty expires, you're protected.

With Total Mobile Protection, you’ll get:
Total Mobile Protection costs $10/month per device.

How to Get It

For any of these programs, you must sign up within 30 days of one of the following:
  • Opening a new account with a new device
  • Purchasing a new device with a new plan contract

How to Use It

If your device is damaged or defective:
Call (866) 406-5154 from any phone other than the one experiencing difficulties (this call is toll-free from a landline). With Total Mobile Protection, defective devices after the manufacturer’s warranty will be replaced for free.

If your device is lost or stolen:
  1. Suspend your service in My Verizon or by calling (800) 922-0204 (from any phone).
  2. File an insurance claim online (the fastest and easiest way) or by calling Asurion Customer Care at (888) 881-2622.

Important Information

Cost per Month and Individual Service Availability. Total Mobile Protection ($10/mo) is a combination of multiple products, each of which is available separately: Wireless Phone Protection $5.18/mo ($8.18/mo iPhone®) & Tablets); Extended Warranty $3/mo; and Tech Coach $7/mo. For Phones and Advanced Devices, Wireless Phone Protection plus Extended Warranty is available for $8/mo ($9.99/mo iPhone®) & Tablets).  Total Equipment Coverage and Extended Warranty are not available in Florida. Florida customers receive extended warranty coverage under the Asurion Wireless Phone Protection policy.
Applicability and Amount of Deductible. For Wireless Phone Protection claims, deductibles apply. Examples of deductibles include $49 for a basic phone (e.g., Samsung Gusto), $99 for advanced devices, including most smartphones (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S4), $99-$199 for iPhone®, and $45-149 for tablets.  For a full list of deductibles click here
Claim Limits for loss, stolen and damaged devices. 2 claims in 12 months (in NY 2 claims per policy year). Equipment max — Phones $400; Advanced Devices, iPhone® & Tablets $1,500
Covered and Replacement Equipment. If your device is lost, stolen or damaged your accessories are covered too – one: standard battery, standard car charger, standard case, standard home charger and standard earbud. It is our goal to provide you with a replacement device that is the same color and has the same features, but this cannot be guaranteed. If the same make and model you claim is not available, a similar make and model will be substituted. Your replacement device could be new or remanufactured. You may also receive generic accessories with lost, stolen or damaged claims.
Cancellation Policy. Change your mind? You can cancel your coverage at any time and receive a pro-rated refund of your monthly fee.
