How to Add a Device to your current plan:
With Verizon, it's easy to add family and friends to an existing plan in just a few minutes. To begin, simply head to vzw.com/addaline. Or, if you're already signed in to My Verizon, select "Add a new device" from the "My Devices" menu in the My Verizon navigation.
Here is where you'll see all of the top devices available to add to your account. You can filter based on type of device, like Smartphone or tablet, brand, features, operating system, or price. Click on any device for more information and compare up to 5 at once. Once you've found the perfect fit for you, click "Add to Cart."
If you haven't already signed in, you'll be prompted to note if you are a New or Existing customer. For existing customers, you'll select "Add a Line" and then sign in to My Verizon.
If you're already signed in, you'll be given the option to go through Express Checkout, which will add the device to your current plan, or if you'd like to see all plan options and features, select "customize."
If you chose "Express Checkout" you’ll make your device protection coverage selection, and then jump right to your shopping cart to review your order information.
If you have chosen to customize your plan, you'll first make your pricing selection, and then "continue" to choose the device protection coverage that's right for you. You'll then be given the option to make any changes to your plan. To learn about other plan options, click the link here, or to make changes in your current plan, click to explore your plan. Make your selection and click "continue."
Customize your plan by adding any features like Visual Voice mail, and be sure to browse compatible accessories designed to improve your experience even further. Sort by type of accessory with the drop down filter. You can add juice to your battery with a convenient portable charger, or protect your phone with a stylish case. There are plenty of options for enhancing your device, and your experience - just take your pick.
Now it's time to review your order and confirm all the selections you've made. Enter any promo codes you may have and even provide your zip code to estimate your sales tax. Once done, click "checkout" to continue.
Next, you'll see your delivery options. You can choose to have your new device shipped to you, or if the service is available, you'll see an option to pick it up at a local store. Click the tab for in-store pickup to learn more about how it works, and to choose a store.
Once you've made your shipping or pickup selection, provide the required information. Be sure to also confirm if the service address is the same as the shipping address, and click "continue" to the next step.
On the Verizon Secure Checkout page, verify your billing address. Enter your payment information and then click to "Set up Devices."
Here you will select a phone number for your new device. You can select a new number from the drop down menu, or you can transfer a number from another carrier. If you choose to transfer a number from another carrier, you'll need to provide the existing mobile number, account number, pin, name of the account holder, and the billing address.
Once you've made your choice, review and agree to the acknowledgements, and customer agreement, and then click to review your order before completing your purchase.
You'll receive an order confirmation email shortly, which you should save for your records. That's it - the simple, intuitive and quick way to add the perfect new phone to your Verizon account.
