How to Use Guide: Download and Install Ringtones from the Media Store

Ringtones purchased from the Media Store are delivered through text message. Refer to the device-specific instructions below to download and install ringtones you’ve purchased.

Android Phones - Motorola and LG:

  1. You'll receive a text message containing your ringtone.

    Note: The sender of this message will be 0000000000.

  2. Touch and hold the message that includes the ringtone until the Message Options menu appears.
  3. Select Save as ringtone.
  4. To set your ringtone, open the Settings app.
  5. Tap Sound & Display
  6. Tap Phone ringtone.
  7. Find the ringtone you purchased on the list and select it.
  8. Tap OK.

Android Phones - HTC and Samsung:

  1. You'll receive a text message containing your ringtone.

    Note: The sender of this message will be 0000000000.

  2. Touch and hold the message that includes the ringtone until the Message Options menu appears.
  3. Tap Save Audio / Save Attachments.
  4. To set your ringtone, open the Music app from your phone's app menu.
  5. Select the ringtone you wish to set as your default.
  6. Tap the phone's Menu button.
  7. Tap Set as Ringtone.
  8. Tap either Phone Ringtone or Contact Ringtone from the menu.

    Note: If you select Contact Ringtone, you’ll be prompted to select which contact you want to set that ringtone for.

BlackBerry OS7 Phones:
  1. You'll receive a text message containing your ringtone.

    Note: The sender of this message will be 0000000000.

  2. Press the BlackBerry menu key.
  3. Select Save Ringtone.
  4. Select Save.
  5. To set your ringtone, select Media from your phone's home screen.
  6. Select Ringtone.
  7. Select My Ringtones.
  8. Select the desired ringtone and press the BlackBerry menu key.
  9. Select Set as Ringtone.
  10. Press OK.

Windows Phone 8:

  1. You'll receive a text message containing your ringtone.

    Note: The sender of this message will be 0000000000.

  2. From the Start screen, swipe left to the apps list.
  3. Tap Messaging.
  4. Select the message containing the ringtone or sound file.
  5. Touch and hold the link (file name).
  6. Tap Save as Ringtone.
  7. Ensure the following is entered/configured as desired:
    • Ringtone name
    • Make this my ringtone (enabled when a check mark is present).
  8. Tap OK (check box at the bottom).
