Block and Unblock Services - My Verizon Support

In My Verizon, you can prevent or allow access to any of the services listed below for each device on your account. Restricting the following services on a device may help you avoid unwanted or unexpected charges.

  • Messaging Blocks: Prevent a device from using all messaging services or block specific types, including multimedia messaging and Premium Messaging.

  • Purchase Blocks: Prevent a device from being able to access certain apps and services or make purchases in certain Verizon apps and third party apps.

  • Free Offers: Choose to opt in or opt out of the Verizon Selects program.

  • How do I block a messaging or purchasing service in My Verizon?
    To block a service:
    1. Go to the Block and Unblock Services page in My Verizon.
    2. If you have multiple lines on your account, select the line you want set the service block(s) for.
    3. Select the service you want to block.
    4. Click Continue.

  • How do I unblock a messaging or purchasing service?
    To unblock a service:
    1. Go to the Block and Unblock Services page in My Verizon.
    2. If you have multiple lines on your account, select the line that you will be unblocking service(s) for.
