Change Features - My Verizon Support

In My Verizon, you can manage which features are available for each device on your account. Add great features like Ringback Tones, increase your Verizon Cloud storage, add and remove Caller ID Blocking and more. You can also view a full list of your current features and any associated monthly charges.

Note: If you want to add or manage Verizon FamilyBase™ or other blocking services, go to the Verizon Family Safeguards & Controls page.

Prepaid accounts: To manage your features, go to the Prepaid Features page in My Verizon.

  • How do I change the features on my account?
    You can modify the features on your account if you’re the Account Owner or Account Manager. Learn more about account access roles. To add, modify or remove a feature online:
    1. Go to the Change Features page in My Verizon.

    2. If you have multiple lines on your account, select the line you’d like to manage features for.

    3. Click the Add or Remove button(s) next to the feature(s) you want to add or remove.

      Note: You may be required to remove a feature to add the new one.

    4. Click Next at the bottom of the page.

    5. Select when you want the changes to go into effect, if applicable, and click Next.

    6. Review the changes to your account to make sure they are correct, and click Submit.

    7. Check to see if the confirmation message references any “Next Steps” you need to follow after adding the feature.

    You've successfully changed your features.
  • Will I extend my contract term if I change my features?
    No, you won’t extend your contract term by doing any of the following:
  • Why do I need to remove a feature to add a different one?
    For certain categories (e.g., Backup Assistant Plus for Media), you can only have one of the available features at a time. If you change to a different feature within the category, the original feature will automatically be removed for you.
  • Can I change my features online if I have a pending order on my account?
    No, if you currently have a pending order on your account, you won’t be able to change features online until the pending order is complete. Learn more at our Pending Orders Information page.

    Note: An Account Owner or Account Manager can request a pending order to be removed from an account by calling Customer Service at (800) 922-0204. Learn more about account access roles. If a pending order is removed, then it’s canceled and the order will have to be placed again.
  • How do I know which features I have on my account?
    Go to the My Plans and Services page in My Verizon to view the current details of your plan, features, services and recommended services.

    Note: If you have multiple lines on your account, select the line you’d like to view features for.
