Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to optimize device performance, resolve known issues and apply the latest security patches.

Before you download:

Make sure you have a strong Verizon wireless network connection.

This software update provides the following enhancements:

Added 3G UMTS support for Bands 2, 4, and 5
Updated the Wi-Fi SSID to reflect the correct device model number
Increased the default ring volume from 3 to 7
Increased the default volume for video playback through the browser
The external volume keys will now be locked when the flip is closed in idle to prevent accidental presses
