Home Phone Connect is a device that allows you to make and receive calls on the Verizon Wireless network while using your home telephone.
In this video, you’ll learn how to use your new Home Phone Connect device.
Once activated, you should hear a dial tone and be able to make and receive calls using ten digit dialing.
If you’d like to make international calls, contact Customer Service to add the International Dialing feature to your account.
Let’s review your device.
Your device has indicators for the battery, power, signal strength and voice mail.
If the battery indicator is blue, the device has a full charge. Blinking blue means a partial charge and blinking red indicates that there is a low charge.
The power light is blue, showing that the device is on.
There are two signal strength indicators. If they are both blue, the signal is strong. If only one is solid blue, the signal is moderate and if only one is blinking blue, the signal is weak.
A blinking blue light for voicemail indicates that there is a new message.
To check your voice mail, dial STAR 86 from your phone and follow the prompts.
You can program this as a speed dial on your cordless phone if desired.
To use your phone’s answering machine instead of voice mail, set the answering machine to fewer rings, allowing the answering machine to pick up the messages before it’s directed to voice mail.
To use Verizon Wireless voice mail, either increase the number of rings on the answering machine or turn it off.
You can adjust the volume using your telephone connected to the Home Phone Connect device.
Take the phone off the hook. When you hear the dial tone, press pound, pound, one.
Then press keys one for the softest setting, to four, for the loudest .
After selecting your desired volume, press the asterisk key to save it.
A single confirmation tone indicates you’ve changed the volume level.
