Freeway Bluetooth Speaker is rated 3.235294117647059 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound quality and easy to use. The quality of the Jabra Freeway is by far the best speakerphone bluetooth I've used. If your device is has a screen lock you can NOT make a phone call with voice commands. First you need to unlock the screen on your phone to use voice commands. The ease of playing music on your device depends on which one you have and what app you are using to play music from. It's not a magic box so don't expect it to do everything for you with one touch. The quality of the speakers are outstanding, you can have conversation driving on the road while your windows are down and still have good sound. The music quality is good it's not a jambox but for what it is it has great music sound. Overall the device is great it's missing a couple things I liked from the Motorola Roadster 2 like smart recognition and car finder. I highly recommend it if you have issues hearing out of your old speakerphone or are tired of wearing a bluetooth on your ear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great concept, but poor performance (3 problems listed) I'm on my second Jabra Freeway. The first one started out great, but after 6 months of light use, it had such a low volume that it was useless. The Verizon store was great! They swapped it out. Unfortunately, the second one appears to be starting to have similar issues after 2 months. Problem #1 The roads where I drive are noisy, and the Jabra Freeway often does not hear my voice, even though I've tried shouting at it. It gets in an endless loop saying "Please say that again." It is very frustrating. It is on my sun visor, only inches away from me. Problem #2 A text message arrives, and it announces the name of the text sender, then announces, "You can say Read it or Ignore." When I say "Read it" the Jabra Freeway only understands me if I am in a very quiet environment #like with the car stopped#. Any road noise #tires rolling on the pavement# prevents it from understanding me. It repeats "You can say Read it or Ignore" 2 more times, and I speak louder each time. Still, it does not hear me, and it goes back to sleep. I can't hear the incoming text message, which was one of the main reasons I bought it #I'm not using it for music#. Problem #3 I ask the Jabra Freeway "What can I say?" It responds with a list of acceptable commands. One of those is "Battery" to hear the remaining talk time. It usually does not understand when I say "Battery, and it either tells me it is calling someone with a name that does not sound anything like the word "battery", or it gets in that endless loop, saying "Please say that again." It is a great concept, but mine does not work well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So so... The speaker on the unit is great. The Freeway connects to my phone as soon as I get in the car. The only downside is the FM transmitter, which is the whole reason I bought the product. There is not an FM frequency that I do not get static on, and I've tried every single one. Although the sound is never crystal clear through the FM transmitter, it seems to be much clearer during the daytime than the nighttime. This unit is easy to use, reliable, and I am told that the callers on the other end can hear me clearly. If the FM transmitter was better, it would be worthy of 5 stars across the board.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great start! This will only get better in future versions. It's perfect for long drives. When I talked to people using this unit, all said they heard me just fine, without complaint. I played music through it from my phone and the sound was clear, no matter the level. I love listening to music at a higher volume, and this sounded very good from low to the highest level. I don't like that I have to hide or carry it before getting out of the car. I drive to NJ and NY, and my family live in areas in those states where things like this are a great reason for thieves to break into your car. Other than that, this is a great buy! Especially for those who drive a lot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far I like it. I never liked the Bluetooth headsets; they never seem to work correctly. I recently purchased Jabra Freeway and so far it has impressed me. The speaker is loud which is a plus and when am I using the Google Navigation on my Droid Razr Maxx, I am able to hear the turn-by-turn directions clearly. I like how the device connects when I enter my car and disconnects when I leave. I am able to play and hear Pandora through this device. The only issue is recognizing some of the voice commands; however, I think that has to do with the smartphone itself rather than this device. I’ll make some revisions to my review as I use it more. I would certainly recommend this device to anyone whose car does not have Bluetooth capability.
