  • Description+-

Add a pop of color to any room in your home with the Philips Friends of Hue LightStrips. The 2-meter flexible strips stick to solid surfaces, so you can accent beneath the coffee table, around your kitchen cabinets or up the stairs. The LightStrips connect to your home Wi-Fi so you can control them from your iOS or Android device. Change the color, dim the LightStrips-even make sure the lights are off when you're away from home.

The Philips Friends of Hue LightStrips works in conjunction with the Hue Personal Wireless Lighting Kit, which is sold separately and lets you control lights via a Wi-Fi connection and an app on your compatible smartphone or tablet.

    Add anywhere accents
Hue LightStrips can set and change the mood for rooms throughout your house. Curve the LED lights around corners, and shape them to almost any object you choose. With an adhesive strip along the back and cutting marks to help with customized sizing, the LightStrips are ready to illuminate.

    Splash your home with color
Want to add a dash of color under your kitchen cabinets or around a picture? Hue LightStrips are the perfect option. Get the Philips Hue app from Google Play™ or the Apple® App StoreSM, then use your smartphone or tablet to change the color, hue, shade, tone and brightness. Turn your lights on or off, or set timers to add peace of mind when you're away. Recreate light colors from photos on your device for the perfect mood, or select one of the preset Light Recipes to help you relax or concentrate.

Get started in just a few steps
The LightStrips require the Philips Hue wireless bridge, which comes with any Hue Starter Kit (not included). Just plug the LightStrips into a wall outlet, then use the Philips Hue app to connect to them. Now there are 16 million color options at your fingertips.

Friends of Hue LightStrips is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute but I like the way they look and they were really easy to use the only thing I was totally disturbed about was how short they were if you want to do a bookshelf you need two at the minimum so now I need a lot more please measure out the length befor you purchase to see how Many you need!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish they could be daisy chained These were painfully easy to install under my daughter's bed. The cool factor is worth the price if you plan for it as part of your design aesthetic. I am not sure what the remote like thing does, but the app is fine. Do they know the app is rated as 17+? Tried to download the app on my daughter's smartphone and was alerted that I have to remove parental controls first. Odd. Wish list: please make it easier to control lights in different rooms. Right now it's a pretty clunky in app experience. Would be cool if you could daisy chain two strings to only use one plug and act as one light source.
