You experience the world in 360°. Shouldn't your photos and videos reflect that? Meet the Samsung Gear 360. Capture dynamic, high-resolution memories in true 360°, and relive those memories through your compatible Galaxy smartphone* and immersive Samsung Gear VR* headset (both sold separately). Front and rear lenses each capture a full 180°, creating a seamless and full 360° image. Couple with your compatible Galaxy smartphone* via Wi-Fi Direct to use the phone's screen as a remote viewfinder, to easily trim your shots, and to share your images with friends and family. Even publish your photo spheres or 360° videos to Facebook 360, YouTube or Samsung VR.

Create true 360° videos and stills
The Gear 360 is different than some dual-lens cameras that say they capture full 360-degree video, but in reality only shoot cylindrical or half-dome footage. Gear 360 shoots a full sphere of content. 360-degree video is captured in near 4K resolution‡, and 360° stills are captured in 30 MP. Also, because light varies by location and time of day, Gear 360 is equipped with bright F.2 lenses, which means you'll capture dazzling images even in low-light conditions. Record directly from the Gear 360 or remotely, using your Galaxy smartphone.*

    Shoot, stitch and edit, share
Sharing is easy with your compatible Galaxy smartphone* or your PC. Just shoot in live view mode, use your compatible smart device* to simply stitch the 360-degree footage with just a click, trim it to your taste and share it online.

Seamlessly connect to your Galaxy smartphone*
Connect your Galaxy smartphone* via Bluetooth—then use the Gear 360 Manager App and Wi-Fi Direct to transform the phone's screen into a convenient remote viewfinder. Once synced, also upload and share your creations directly on sites such as YouTube, Facebook 360 or Samsung VR.§ Don't own a Galaxy smartphone? No problem. Use the Gear 360 ActionDirector PC software¹ for editing, stitching and sharing.

    Dual- and single-lens modes
For the times you may not want a full 360° image, simply use just one lens to create high-resolution, 180° wide-angle videos and stills. Whether you decide to take a 360-degree or a 180-degree video or photo, you'll easily capture and share truly brilliant, vividly clear, high-resolution memories.

    Made for outdoor adventures, too
Not only is this compact and durable camera great for capturing indoor events, Gear 360 is also an essential outdoor camera. A little dirt kicked up from your trail bike or a splash or two from the lake won't bother Gear 360†. Tempered glass lenses further help protect this handy unit. Take Gear 360 on vacation, to sporting events, concerts, camping—places and occasions that will be so much more memorable in 360°.

Use Gear VR* for a real 360-degree experience
Really get into your 360-degree creations with your Gear VR* virtual reality headset (sold separately). The lightweight design and intuitive touchpad of the Gear VR drop you right into the action you've created with your Gear 360. Gear VR sports an ergonomic design with flexible padding. Plus, it fits over most eyeglasses.

Gear 360 is rated 4.785714285714286 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Generation Amazement I received the Samsung Gear 360 almost a month ago and I can not emphasize how much i'm amazed technology has come this far. First off the camera is a nice compact size that is smaller than a point and shoot, but it is wide. I found myself having a weird bulge in my pants when I would put it in my pocket. Moving on the the device itself is very light and easy to use. With having 2 camera's it is very easy to capture anything in your line of view and also more. Turing on the camera takes 2-3 seconds with a hold of a button. Then to capture/record stuff it only takes a push of a button and depends on the timer you set on the camera. I have to say the stitching quality is almost there, but once objects are closer to the camera the stitching gets a little off. So I advise shooting things farther away and also using a mono pod with a tripod bottom to get a nice 360 photo/video. Shoutout to The Insiders for hooking me up with the Gear 360! #theinsidersgear360

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome 360 Creation Tool! I was super excited when I heard the Samsung Gear 360 was going to be released to the general public. I found B&H Photo had it listed on its website to receive emails when the device became available. Since the only other two options were the Ricoh Theta S and the LG 360 Cam. I knew that I wanted to get the Samsung Gear 360 over the other two consumer options since it had the wow factor. When I received the email about being selected to try out the Samsung Gear 360 I was ecstatic and I was racking my brain on how to best use the new 360 cam. The Samsung Gear 360 is an awesome little piece of tech that lets you snap photos and record videos of your life’s special moments. The Samsung Gear 360 looks like a white eyeball. It has a small tripod attached to the bottom which doubles as a handle making it very easy to hold the device. The design is cool and sleek. The size of the Gear 360 makes it easy to carry around. Some people have told me that it looks like BB-8 from Star Wars. The controls on the Gear 360 are very easy to navigate and change on the fly. The default settings on the Gear 360 make the device super easy to use right out of the box. However, you have more control over the settings through the Samsung Gear 360 application. I noticed when I take a 360 photo, the photo doesn’t blend the lighting together and there are visible lines where the photo was stitched. The Gear 360 produces great photos in low light, but at the cost of a slightly high noise level. I’m sure Samsung will be able to fix this issue with a firmware update. Unfortunately, non-Samsung phones can’t connect to the Gear 360 and you’re not able to change certain settings without the application. Luckily, I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and it is able to quickly transfer photos and videos. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and the Gear 360 compliments each other. I love that the Gear 360 has a super wide fisheye lens which can capture scenery quite well. I find myself using it more often than my GoPro Hero 4 Black. I use it more for taking video because it creates a better 360 experience. I bring it with me everywhere I go!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great camera with a few ways it could be improved. I have been using the Galaxy Gear 360 about a month through Samsung insider program. I have used with a Note 7, Galaxy S7 edge and it work wonderfully! What Like the best is the how much better of a job it does taking a 360 image, when compared using surround shot or the google camera application. Having the 2 of the 180 lens help a lot in this category! I also enjoy the: • Interface of the Samsung Gear 360 • The ability to control the camera with the phone • More space can be added with the SD card. • Make a very nice VR experience • Nice quick video camera with a stand The items I didn’t like: • Lighting makes a big difference when trying to have photos stitched together. Have one lens facing the sun and the other facing away. • In photos it tends to focus better on closer object like the table it is resting on Vs the people in the shot. • There is no way to manually focus the lens on a certain point in the image in the software. Overall it is a fun camera and a unique experience to have on trips and capturing those family moments. Then being about to share them with loved ones who are not able to be there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You're gonna love it! Anyone can take a picture. But not everyone can playback an experience. This camera is NICE! I've shot several events with this camera. My friends can put on my Gear VR headset and feel like they're standing in the middle of the event. I have shot 2 classic car shows and a classic boat show. Both sides of the field can be visualized as if you are there and spinning in a circle. It's an EASY TO USE camera that has the ability to film and playback in several resolutions. When used with a Samsung S7 and Gear VR Headset you get the full experience of a fast emerging technology. You can take conventional "forward facing" photos or "rear facing" photos OR BOTH front and rear together and your S7 will "stitch" them together. You can leave them on the camera and view from your S7 or download them to your phone to view without having to use the camera, with or without the Gear VR Headset. I recommend having a 360 swivel chair to sit in and enjoy the show! Buy one and change the way you look at the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thsi is the best 360 Camera today This is by far the best 360 camera on the market today. Before buying this camera, I did some research on about 5 different 360 cameras. The specs on this Gear 360 beat everything else out there. When I got the box the first thing I noticed was how neatly everything was packaged. Samsung took the time to make sure everything was well protected. I really like that you have dual cameras that you can use at the same time or just use one. The tripod is great and works perfectly as a handle to hold the camera up. I especially liked that I could control the camera remotely with the Gear 360 app on my cell phone. Samsung makes the best products out there.
