    Just WOW
Got this as a gift and at first, I didn't think it was all that great until I put it up against my JBL. Its clear and the base is what it should be. The charge time lasts longer than advertised. Asy to transport and charge. Sounds great no matter where you put it.

    Great Little Device
Wanted to first say that I would not have purchased this device, except for the price offered. It shipped quickly and was so easy to set up. I would offer one bit of advice, be all in with Google if you purchase this device. It would be useless without other Smart devices (Chromecast, voice activated video monitor, wifi lightbulbs, etc.). This is the first device I would recommend purchasing if you would like to "dip your foot into the Smarthome pool." If it doesn't work the way you expect, ... read more you are only a small amount of money. Pros Sound quality is great, but don't expect deep bass. Looks much cooler than what Amazon offers - and you can see that Amazon is starting to offer devices with "mesh/cloth" covering. Cons It needs a battery back-up No Bluetooth connection No aux outlet Uses Playing trivia games with your family Weather and Traffic updates Telling Smart appliances what to do Please understand that speaking to a device to tell it what to do involves a learning curve for those not used to talking to devices. You will have to Google specific phrases for specific devices in order for this device to work like you want it to, and even then, it's not perfect.

    JBL Speaker Comparisons
I'm a gadget junky. I have had every JBL Charge since the first one came out. The first sounded amazing and put JBL on the map for Bluetooth speakers. I then got the second one, which improved the bass, but lowered the high ranges and the volume output was definitely decreased. When the third came out I did not buy it right away, as I wanted to see about the flip 4 with the new JBL Connect and I also picked up the JBL Xtreme. So, I ended up buying the Flip 4 and Charge 3 at the same time and ... read more would return the one that didn't sound as great. I returned the flip 4 and kept the Charge 3.... Here is why... So here is my comparison: JBL Charge 1: Great volume and high ranges. Low base compared to later models. Rating A- JBL Charge 2: The higher ranges were decreased, but the bass and mids sound a lot better. The catch: Max Volume level went down a lot (Options: Mic, External Charging, & Multi Device Connect) Rating B+ JBL Charge 3: The higher ranges were brought back and the mids and bass still remain great. The volume level was increased back to a good level. JBL took the best parts of the Charge 1 and Charge 2 and created the Charge 3. This is the best sounding JBL so far. (Options: Mic, External Charging, & JBL Connect, Splash Proof) Rating A+ JBL Flip 4: The mids are good and it gets loud, but the bass and highs are really off. It makes the sound sort of distorted. I think JBL tried to pack a little too much into this smaller design. Compared to the Charge 3, it does not even sound like a JBL. I do like the new JBL Connect Plus feature, as you can connect to multiple speakers for surround or for larger spaces. (Options: Mic, JBL Conect Plus, Waterproof) Rating: B Hope this helps everyone!!

    Great overall speaker
JBL Charge 3 Review There is an overwhelming amount of Bluetooth speakers on the market and many have similar features as the JBL Charge 3. In this review I will be covering what I believe are the most important features of this speaker that will best help you make the decision whether the JBL Charge 3 is for you. Bluetooth & Waterproof Features: As you can see in the description of this device there are few neat features of the JBL Charge 3 I would like to touch base on. First off, the ... read more waterproof feature. I have personally tested whether this speaker is waterproof both accidently and purposefully and have luckily found that it is! On top of being waterproof the speaker seems to resist mud and dirt very well. This makes this speaker a strong candidate for your outdoorsman that likes to listen to music on the go! Next, the Bluetooth features. The JBL Charge 3 is not one of those Bluetooth speakers that you spend more time trying to connect to than you do listening to music. This speaker can have up to three devices connected to it at once, this means turn on the speaker and turn on your connecting device’s Bluetooth and they should link up automatically (depending on your devices Bluetooth settings). Now, the rest of this speakers Bluetooth features are not quite as impressive. The pairing feature of two or more JBL Charge 3’s is a cool idea that can work but not the way you think it would. From personal experience the two speakers must be quite close to each other to connect or the sound will cut in and out. This kind of defeats the purpose of connecting the two speakers to create some sort of a “surround sound” with the speakers. Battery Life & Sound: The description says that you’ll get a twenty-hour battery life out of the speaker and that seems to be true. I have owned my JBL speaker for almost a year now and it hasn’t shown any noticeable decrease in the life of the battery. This can also come in handy to charge a device such as a phone on the go. The final and most important thing I will touch on is the sound. This speaker has a strong base and great volume for it’s size. The quality of high frequencies is slightly muffled but is made up for in overall volume. Conclusion: The JBL Charge 3 is definitely a great option when considering buying a Bluetooth speaker. The extra features make it great for anyone looking to listen to music on the go, and the sound competes with any other portable Bluetooth speaker out there.

    Best Purchase
The google home is fantastic! Sound quality is great, voice recognition works exactly as expected. Purchased this mainly for music use, but I will be installing a Nest thermostat to use along with it. I highly recommend this for everyone!

Love it more than I thought I would.
Bought as a Christmas present, and the whole family loves it. I easily recognizes everyone's requests -- even my 10-year old's. The "set a timer" feature is great. So is the calculator option. It's amazing how quickly she can multiply! Music sounds great and love the fact that she can play just about any song you want. For fun, ask her to "sing a song" or even "sing Happy Birthday."

Found this unit on the side of the highway
I was servicing a disabled vehicle on the side of a 65 MPH zone stretch of highway and just happened to spot this model on the ground. It was thrown or dropped from a vehicle on the highway and has the battle scars to prove it. It was beat up, wet, and was there for a little while. I put it in my unit for a couple days and on a whim plugged it in. It still works great! The battery lasts forever, the sound quality is awesome, and the light effects are pretty cool

Flip 4 is not compatible to pair with JBL Extreme
The connect plus feature on JBL Flip 4 is unable to pair with JBL Extreme. I have both the speakers was very excited to use the ultimate connect feature but it was a big flop. I hope JBL releases a fix for this problem soon. Performance wise both the speakers have excellent audio quality.

It the best portable speaker yet!!!!!
This speaker sounds better than the Charge 3 and it’s 2x the Flip 4s size. The best 3 things on it is the external passive radiator, the batter it can last for days for confort music like jazz or something, and the speakers. There is one thing I don’t like about it but it’s to help the high noises I think. IDK what is like the topping on the speaker when you take off the fabric. The speakers are great looking but coolect dust and other things, if you scratch the leakers it’s self it’s not coming ... read more out. If you guys read this the Charge 3 speakers bust really easy I mean by listing to noises my speaker are getting to the point where it has to be turned up all the time. So if you guys read this tell me why or how it’s doing this..??

    Best Gift Ever
This was a fathers day gift from my granddaughters. I must say that they know their grandfather. Growing up in the 70s and having a love for the music of that era this was just the absolute best fathers day gift.
