Tagg Pet Tracker is rated 2.875 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea, poorly executed so far My first Tagg unit worked well. It broke, and they replaced it. The second one cannot locate my dog with enough accuracy for me to find him. It never reports his position within less than three blocks, and sometimes can be as inaccurate as 8 miles off. I have called Tagg repeatedly. The latest is that they can only talk to me when I am not available, because a particular person has my folder, and she is not available. If they ever get it to work accurately, it will be a great product. Until then, I cannot recommend it. I have taken it off of my handicapped dog. It is useless to me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One year operation life! non serviceable poor design We have three of these units. Each failed shortly after the one year warranty expired. The units are not serviceable and must replaced - at full cost. Tagg also now adds an activation fee and the monthly charge for each additional unit has gone up 10X ea since 2012. The first 12 months of use were as advertised, and some of the features are very useful. Look elsewhere for a pet tracking system, they are out there. VERIZON - Please encourage Tagg to improve their product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Prone to breaking In less than 1.5 years we are already on the third Tagg tracker. The first one stopped holding a charge one week after the 1-year warranty ended. Tagg customer service recommended that I purchase a new one. That is a bit ballsy and quite expensive for us, as we use this GPS tracker on dogs we are fostering -- dogs that are skittish because they were previously abused. We cannot afford to pay this much every year to replace their product because it breaks. We managed to get Tagg to provide us a refurbished one, only to have that one break (this time the hinge clip) after 2 months. Again, Tagg customer service response was "Hey, why don't you spend $$$ to buy a new one!" There are many new GPS pet trackers coming on the market this year. I highly recommend that you check out these products before considering getting a Tagg Tracker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs some work I have been using a Tagg unit for my dog Jojo for about year. She weighs about 45 pounds. The weight and size of the unit is ok for Jojo, but I wouldn't recommend it for a dog less than 20 pounds. I have had the need to track Jojo about 5 times. I was able to successfully find her using the Tagg 4 of those times. One time, just as Jojo got out of the yard and started running, I got a message that she was out of the yard, but also that the battery needed a charge so it couldn't track her; thanks!! The Android App is a little clunky, but it works. For me, it's usually accurate to within a half block. Good enough for a big black dog. Most of the time I get get text messages warning me that the battery needs charging and when it is fully charged. When I first got the unit I only needed to charge the Tagg once a month, now it's more like twice a month. Tagg should make a new unit that could allow me to change the batteries. The unit has fallen off her collar twice. I got text messages that it did. Jojo likes running in the ocean surf, no problems so far. I gave it 3 stars because of its large size, lack of changeable batteries, and it's connection to the collar so it absolutely won't fall off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product helps locate my cat as needed My cat would go outside and at times I could not find him. Since getting the tagg I can easily locate him and bring him back inside.
