Our 5G Ultra Wideband network uses the mmWave spectrum, which empowers all kinds of new possibilities. It can carry massive amounts of data at very high speeds and with minimal network latency. This spectrum can also easily handle spikes in data demand from consumers, whether they’re mobile-first users or sophisticated and fully connected industry innovators.

    We’ve spent several years deploying a massive fiber network, which is integral to our delivering a revolutionary 5G network. As part of this effort, we plan to spend over $1 billion over the next few years on new fiber-optic cable from Corning

  • Small cell deployment

    We’ve also installed new fiber-fed small cells to densify our 4G LTE network. Many of our 4G locations will also be used to support 5G 

  • Critical spectrum holdings

    Verizon has built a large portfolio of mmWave spectrum through company and license acquisitions—all to help ensure that our customers receive the best 5G network experience

  • Edge computing

    We have network locations nationwide that are ideally suited to housing edge-computing resources. Compute at the edge will allow us to deliver access to the tools, power, real estate and expertise to deploy at scale
