Joint Marketing Agreement

2.1

To the extent permitted under current regulatory and legal requirements, Verizon Telephone Operating Companies will provide Verizon Wireless access to Verizon Telephone Operating Company customer information for the purpose of Verizon Wireless validation of a customer’s qualification to purchase Verizon Wireless product or service offered under a joint promotion.

2.2

Verizon Telephone Operating Companies will provide marketing, product management, project management, service fulfillment and sales support services to Verizon Wireless to support this joint promotion campaign.

2.3

Verizon Telephone Operating Companies will respond to Verizon Telephone Operating Companies’ customer inquiries concerning the joint promotion, and based on methods and procedures agreed to by the parties, will refer customers who qualify for the joint promotion to Verizon Wireless. Verizon Telephone Operating Companies will conduct training or cause training to be conducted for all Verizon employees required to respond to customer inquiries concerning the joint promotion and refer customers to Verizon Wireless for the Verizon Wireless products and services jointly promoted.

2.4

Verizon Wireless shall deliver to Verizon Telephone Operating Companies inserts advertising Verizon Wireless products for inclusion in the Verizon Telephone Operating Companies bill to the designated Verizon Telephone Operating Companies’ customer segment.

2.5

Verizon Wireless shall deliver to Verizon Telephone Operating Companies direct mail advertising for mailing to the designated Verizon Telephone Operating Companies’ customer segment.

2.6

Verizon Wireless and Verizon Telephone Operating Companies may jointly engage, either affiliated or unaffiliated, vendors to provide services required for the joint promotion, including but not limited to: joint advertising, joint collateral design and production, and fulfillment. To the extent that such vendor supplies services to Verizon Wireless, such supplier will individually bill Verizon Wireless for services supplied.

2.7

Verizon Wireless and Verizon Telephone Operating Companies will jointly engage in promoting their products electronically, via the world wide web through each company’s home pages.
