BASKING RIDGE, N.J. — Verizon Wireless subscribers have another important tool to help manage their communications with the launch of City ID – an enhanced mobile Caller ID application which displays the city and state of incoming calls.

Available today on the Voyager™ by LG, City ID automatically displays the city and state where an incoming phone number is registered, providing additional information to help Verizon Wireless customers recognize unknown numbers.

City ID, an application from Cequint, features information on more than 20,000 cities in North America, providing enough detail to be useful identifying numbers calling from both across town and across the country.

Verizon Wireless customers purchasing the Voyager will receive a complimentary 15-day trial of the City ID application beginning with their first incoming call. Customers may subscribe to City ID for $1.99 monthly access per line added to their monthly plan. City ID comes preloaded on new Voyagers; customers with existing Voyagers can take their phones to any Verizon Wireless Communications Store to receive the free software update. Verizon Wireless expects to offer City ID on additional devices in the coming months.
