SAN RAMON, CA. —

U.S. Wireless Corporation (NASDAQ - USWC) and Bell Atlantic Mobile signed an Evaluation Licensing Agreement, for the testing and evaluation of U.S. Wireless's RadioCamera(TM) wireless geographic location and tracking system in concert with the Bell Atlantic Mobile's cellular telephone network. Bell Atlantic Mobile is evaluating the RadioCamera system as a possible solution to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandate (CC Docket No. 94-102) requiring wireless carriers to provide caller location-finding for wireless emergency 911 service.

The testing and evaluation process is being structured into two phases commencing in the 2nd quarter of 1998. The first phase is to install U.S. Wireless's RadioCamera equipment at a limited number of Bell Atlantic Mobile's cell sites in the Baltimore metropolitan area to evaluate the performance of the locating system.

Upon successful completion of the initial phase, a second phase would be undertaken to expand the deployment of the RadioCamera throughout a larger geographic region, in order to further investigate the potential uses of the location system.

U.S. Wireless is a developer and manufacturer of wireless infrastructure for emergency 911 and other applications. RadioCamera technology is designed to interface with wireless telecommunications carriers' existing base stations, adding functionality and services while providing the location of cellular callers.

Bell Atlantic Mobile is the largest wireless service provider on the East Coast and the second largest in the United States. Based in Bedminster, NJ, Bell Atlantic Mobile has 5.4 million customers and 7,000 employees in the Northeast, mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and - through a separate subsidiary - the Southwest.
