Bell Atlantic Mobile Opens New Communications Store on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Bell Atlantic Mobile today announced the opening of its second wireless communications store on Staten Island.

Located on the lower level of the Staten Island Mall, near Sears, the new Bell Atlantic Mobile Communications Store features a wide array of wireless products and services, including the popular DigtalChoice^smservice and a premier line of digital wireless phones. The store is staffed by a team of communications consultants, specially trained to customize Bell Atlantic Mobile's wireless services and applications to meet customer lifestyles.

"Bell Atlantic Mobile knows that reliability is what's most important to customers," said Store Manager Randy Grossman. "To measure up to New Yorkers' high standards for the best in wireless service, we're investing hundreds of millions in network improvements and maintenance to make sure calls go through and stay connected."

The new store is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bell Atlantic Mobile has more than 40 Communications Stores serving the New York/New Jersey metro area including one other in Staten Island, located at 2791 Richmond Avenue in the Pergament Mall.

Grossman said the company plans to continue to support the Staten Island community through its "Wireless at Work" community service program, which uses wireless technology to help individuals and communities improve security and emergency communications. Just this month, the company donated 100 Motorola wireless phones to the office of Richmond County District Attorney William L. Murphy for distribution to victims of domestic violence and elder abuse.
