ROCHESTER, NY — Verizon Wireless, formerly Bell Atlantic Mobile, has opened a new wireless retail store in Pittsford. The store is located at 2951 Monroe Avenue at the corner of Monroe and Clover. The new store will offer a complete selection of wireless phones, plans and accessories, including wireless web access products.
"This expansion represents our commitment to provide our customers with increased convenience and an accessible, knowledgeable sales staff," said Shawn Blackburn, area manager, who noted that the store employs three people. The new store manager is Holly Storm of Penfield.
The Pittsford store will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
The grand opening will bring the total number of retail locations in Verizon Wireless's Upstate New York Region to 48 stores, more company-owned stores than any other Upstate New York wireless carrier, for unmatched convenience and service.
