WOBURN, MA. — In a move to meet customers' seemingly insatiable appetite for flat-rate, nationwide wireless calling, Verizon Wireless, formerly Bell Atlantic Mobile, this week added a new 2,000-minute option to its SingleRate price plans. The new plan, priced at $200 per month, is the sixth in a family of plans that begin as low as $35 per month for 150 minutes of all-inclusive wireless calling.

Demand for SingleRate service - a popular choice for business travelers - accelerated when the company unveiled the new family of plans in concert with the launch of Verizon Wireless in April. In New York and Northern New Jersey, for example, sales of the plans nearly doubled in the first 30 days of the offering.

"Customers love the simplicity and affordability of SingleRate because it eliminates long distance and roaming charges across the country," said Bob Stott, president of the company's New England and Upstate New York Region. "In fact, they like it so much that they have asked us to create a service package with an even larger bundle of minutes. Now, our most talkative customers can travel the United States and achieve even greater savings while relying on Verizon Wireless' superior coast-to-coast network."

SingleRate is conveniently available at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and at local retailers and authorized agents.
