MORRISTOWN, NJ — Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless provider, has expanded service coverage in Bergen County with a new cell site in Midland Park and one in Ho-Ho-Kus.

"The new cell sites will provide customers who live in and travel through the area with greater wireless network coverage and increased clarity when making wireless calls," said Michele White, Verizon Wireless Director of Engineering in northern New Jersey.

The Midland Park site improves service on Wyckoff Avenue, Bank Street, Godwin Avenue, Crescent Avenue and Glen Avenue.

The new site in Ho-Ho-Kus enhances service on Route 17, East Saddle River Road, North Maple Avenue and Franklin Turnpike.

The new sites are part of a $4 billion investment program in 2001 to improve and extend the reach of the Verizon Wireless nationwide network, the largest in the U.S. More than $300 million of that investment was used to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless products and services in the New York Metro area.
