TAMPA, FL — Verizon Wireless, the country's largest wireless communications provider, has introduced to Florida consumers two new calling plans: SingleRateSM Florida and SingleRateSM East.

According to Michael P. Lanman, Florida region president of Verizon Wireless, these new plans feature benefits of the company's popular national SingleRateSM plan, while providing the best local and regional calling options.

"Our Florida customers who travel throughout the state and along the East Coast have asked for rate plans that not only meet their needs but provide extra value," Lanman explained. "With SingleRateSM Florida and SingleRateSM East, we've given them exactly what they want."

SingleRateSM Florida lets customers call to or from anywhere in the state without incurring roaming or long-distance charges. Rate plans are priced from $25 per month for 125 anytime minutes and range up to $200 per month for 3,000 minutes, with an annual contract. This plan also offers nationwide long-distance calls for 10 cents per minute, or the option of adding unlimited nationwide long-distance for an additional $5 per month.

The SingleRateSM East plan offers free long-distance calls and roaming along the East Coast. The calling area spans 16 states and Washington, D.C., stretching from Florida to Maine. SingleRateSM East plans start at $25 for 75 anytime minutes a month and range up to 2,400 minutes for $200 per month, with an annual contract.

Caller ID, Voice Mail, Call Waiting, Three-Way Calling and Call Forwarding are included in both new SingleRateSM calling plans.
