TREVOSE, PA — Verizon Wireless has enhanced digital wireless service in the Seaford area with the addition of a new digital cell site. Utilizing code division multiple access (CDMA) digital technology, the new site will provide improved wireless coverage along Routes 13 and 20.

CDMA digital wireless technology provides wireless users with greater call clarity and security, longer battery life and talk time and the ability to use advanced wireless services such as Internet access and text messaging.

"This digital network upgrade will provide our business and consumer customers with improved wireless coverage when using our wireless voice and data services," said Ann McCrystal, president of Verizon Wireless' Philadelphia Tri-State Region. "Digital service subscribers will notice an immediate difference in the quality of their calls."

CDMA digital wireless service transmits calls as a series of binary ones and zeroes for crystal-clear communication, as opposed to continuous radio waves transmitted by analog service, and each call is encoded for superior wireless security.

Verizon Wireless offers a variety of digital wireless handsets and service plans, including DigitalChoice® 1500 plan for $35 monthly access, which includes 250 Anytime Minutes and 1250 off-peak minutes. For wireless Internet access, users can subscribe to Mobile Web at just $6.95 a month that includes 100 alerts and additional alerts are 10 cents each. Mobile MessengerSM two-way short messaging customers can "pay as they go" at a cost of just two cents for each message received and 10 cents for each message sent. Mobile Office, a new offering, provides wireless, digital access to the Internet as well as to a company or personal network with the use of a digital phone and Mobile Office connectivity kit.
